ffmpeg to the rescue, here's a neat way to do it
ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf "scale=iw*.75:-1" output.mp4
can change the ".75" to be other percentages, e.g. ".5" for half.
anon first tried using the file size option, "-fs 16M" but that just chopped it, rather than shrinking it! always verify outputs… :)
so then reduced to half which was 10 mb, then tried .75 which was 14 mb and said "good enuf" enjoy!
