That’s a blind plea offered in a narrow jurisdiction in the Awan case, ie, leaving it up to the judge with the only assurances offered are that the prosecution won’t object to probation. The judge can do what he/she thinks is appropriate. It doesn’t bind any other AG’s office from bringing charges not amounting to double jeopardy. Given the factual assurances set forth in the agreement, the judge will probably abide by standard sentencing guidelines but there is no guarantee of that.
