David Laufman?????
The Washington Post has reported that Obama holdover and donor David Laufman, a DOJ official who overlooked the Clinton email probe has stepped down.
Laufman was responsible for sitting in on interviews with Hillary aides including Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin and Jake Sullivan.
He has been accused of leaks and many will question the timing of his resignation given the shocking revelations of bias and weaponization of the FBI and DOJ in the Strzok-Page texts and FISA memo.
Laufman became a target of the far-right blogosphere, with conspiracy theorist Mike Cernovich accusing him last year of being the source of “national security leaks.” Cernovich’s claim, which Laufman’s colleagues have called baseless, surfaced after media reports detailed then-national security adviser Michael Flynn’s discussion of U.S. sanctions with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
