Toyota's chairman shares a stark prediction for the future of EVs

https://www.thestreet.com/electric-vehicles/toyotas-chairman-shares-a-stark-prediction-for-the-future-of-evs-

Toyota Motor Company (TM) chairman Akio Toyoda has never been very fond of EVs, and his latest comments double down on his sentiment.

At a recent Toyota company event, Toyoda gave some rationality to his disbeliefs towards battery electric vehicles (BEVs), noting that much has to be done in order to have an functioning ecosystem that supports its seamless use.

"BEVs and FCEVs [fuel cell vehicles] come as a set with infrastructure," Toyoda said in a statement translated from Japanese. "However, one billion people around the world live in areas without electricity. In the case of Toyota, we also supply vehicles to these regions, so a single BEV option cannot provide transportation for everyone."

The chairman claimed that since the introduction of hybrid cars in its domestic market, Japan has reduced its CO2 emissions by 23%. Emphasizing the belief of "freedom of movement," he had a very stark prediction about the future of electric vehicles.

Japan's carmakers are staging their first motor show in four years to make the case they'll remain major global forces to be reckoned with in the electric-vehicle age. "No matter how much progress BEVs make, I think they will still only have a 30 % market share," said Toyoda. "Then, the remaining 70% will be HEVs, FCEVs, and hydrogen engines. And I think engine cars will definitely remain."

"I think this is something that customers and the market will decide, not regulatory values or political power."

Toyoda's comments follow similar statements he made at the Japan Mobility Show in October 2023, where slowing sales of EVs led him to say that "people are finally seeing reality."

“There are many ways to climb the mountain that is achieving carbon neutrality,” he said at the show.

More Business of EVs:

Though Toyota has been slow in adopting EVs, the brand is still seen as an eco-conscious brand amongst consumers and the general public. A recent survey from Heatmap found that the automaker was the second-highest behind Tesla (TSLA) on perceived sustainability of any automaker, despite the company's efforts to obstruct regulations both stateside, as well as in the United Kingdom.

Currently, Toyota offers a selection of "electrified" vehicles in its current lineup, including 12 hybrid vehicles, two plug-in hybrids, the bZ4X EV and the Mirai hydrogen-electric vehicle.

>Amen

https://thebanmappingproject.com/glossary/amen-amon-or-amun

Amen was the principal Egyptian state god in the New Kingdom, closely associated with Thebes at least as far back as the Middle Kingdom. He is known to have existed since at least the late Old Kingdom. Called "The Hidden One," he is associated variously with wind, water, and fertility, and was represented as a human, a goose, a ram, or a snake. He was often joined in the New Kingdom with the sun god Ra as Amen-Ra. Amen was a part of the Theban Triad which consisted of Amen, his wife Mut and son Khonsu, and their principal temples lay at Karnak. In his form of Amen-Kamutef, he was a member of the Hermopolitan Ogdoad.

https://www.theburningplatform.com/2024/01/25/growing-your-own-vegetables-is-bad-for-the-planet/

“Growing your own vegetables is bad for the planet”

Have you ever made a prediction and wished you’d recorded it?

Last week, in a phone conversation with a family member, they happened to mention growing their own vegetables, and I said in reply “Enjoy it while you can, they’re gonna start claiming it’s causing climate change soon.”

Literally four days later…

Apparently, a new study from the University of Michigan has found that “urban gardening” is 5 (or maybe 6, they’re not sure) times worse for the environment than “conventional crops”.

I don’t know how they calculated it, and it doesn’t really matter. If you read the bodies of the articles they even say it only applies to some vegetables in some places and it all depends on how the “infrastructure” is put together.

The details aren’t the point. The point is yet another weapon in the war on food. More regulation, more commercialization, less freedom, all in the name of “fighting climate change”.

And if you’re doubting that’s the agenda here, check out the sheer number of government research agencies which the “supported” the research project:

Support for the project was provided by the UK Economic and Social Research Council, German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, French National Research Agency, U.S. National Science Foundation, Poland’s National Science Centre, and the European Union’s Horizon 202 research and innovation program.

It’s a fairly obvious case of needing a study to support a position, going out and and buying one.

This is one of those stories that exists simply to be a headline, so some pundit can quote it on some political panel on primetime TV and start a conversation about “regulation”.

Since we started with a prediction, let’s end with another one: This is just the first step, and you don’t have to be paying especially close attention to see where it goes from here.

They are never going to make growing your own vegetables illegal, they are just going to make it increasingly difficult.

It will start with licenses, for food safety purposes or something. Maybe an outbreak of a disease will be linked to people sharing food from their allotments.

Licenses will be increasingly expensive, and come with restrictions. You’ll only be allowed to use seeds from specific approved vendors, seeds of GMO plants which “mitigate the impact of climate change”. These seeds will likely be “terminator seeds”, meaning they are sterile in the second generation.

And, in that fashion, growing your own vegetables will no longer be an individual and independent experience, but just another corporate subscription service.

Kate Spade, hand bag designer, (did not) kill(ed) herself in Haiti while volunteering with the Clinton Foundation.

Imagine when normies find out that some leathers are human.

Spade had partnered with the Clinton Foundation on at least two major projects. The designer had helped operate a media campaign for The Clinton Foundation's No Ceiling Initiative. Kate Spade also worked with the Clinton's in Haiti, sending representatives to deal with Haitian business owners on Clinton's behalf. A Clinton foundation report from 2016 reads, "The Clinton Foundation Haiti initiative works to encourage economic growth, support small businesses, and empower girls and women in Haiti by helping Haitian businesses develop skills, facilitate investments, and connect with

international partners. – Led a delegation, including representatives from West Elm, Kate Spade, Holt Renfrew, Kenneth Cole, and others, on an artisan, fashion, and manufacturing trip in the Port-au-Prince area to introduce them to potential investment and sourcing opportunities, and to develop new partnerships with Haitian business owners. As a result, four new partnerships were formed between international retailers and several Haitian artisan businesses they met during the visit.""

A spiritual war physically manifested as a war for the liberation of truth and all of collective humanity- and here we are, a few 50-a few hundred volunteer anons. A special forces cadre of information warriors- untrained, leaderless, without standards of discipline or schedule, but peerless as a collective in will, creativity, capability, recall, puzzlecraft, memecraft, psyops, spell unbinding, and real-time OSINT excavation.

to you maybe, but not by definition or origin.

boss (n.1)

"overseer, one who employs or oversees workers," 1640s, American English, from Dutch baas "amaster," Middle Dutch baes, a word of obscure origin. If the original sense was "uncle," perhaps it is related to Old High German basa "aunt," but some sources discount this theory.

The Dutch form baas is attested in English from 1620s as the standard title of a Dutch ship's captain. The word's popularity in U.S. may reflect egalitarian avoidance of master (n.) as well as the need to distinguish slave from free labor. The slang adjective meaning "excellent" is recorded in 1880s, revived, apparently independently, in teen and jazz slang in 1950s.

>prepped

prepping is a lifestyle not a destination, 'calm' as well.

(reposting)

it still amazes anon that all anons are not full fledged preppers. WTF?

"Any household with less than a year+ of food, meds, water capability will be the most dangerous people around in a war/ collapse/grid down environment, and that will be about 90% of the population. Even if a lot die off in the first phase, their homes will be high risk, yet useless, scavenging opportunities as they are not prepped.

This is what I have been teaching for a long time:

"Buy food! Grow food! Raise food! Store food!

Store water, have triple redundancy to procure, treat, and purify water. (distill, filter, iodine tabs, chlorine, etc)

Have the knowledge and ability to manage human waste.

Have antibiotics, trauma first aid skills and resources, and the means to manage wounds long term without escalation to higher care (learn and practice basic first aid and above- tccc Tactical Combat Casualty Care w/ MARCH-E algorithm).

Have hand tools and skills and reps for defense, repair, food, etc

Have physical fitness and endurance as a priority.

Experience fasting.

Have situational awareness skills trained and drilled. Hand to hand self defense (especially from abduction, mandatory skills for kids and ladies)

Evacs and rally points known, trained, and drilled.

Sound, light, and movement discipline understanding and practice

Agreed upon rules of engagement with tribe/mag, including lines of fire, and "friendly" ID and approach

Agreed upon rationing plan with family, with group.

Delegation of labor and tasks plan.

Comms plans.

Have bug out plans known and drilled.

Drill at night, in bad weather, with simulated injuries, broken/lost gear.

Have known triggers- if A happens we do X. Consider - bad guys, fire, tornado, long term power outage, and rate and direction of approach.

Have separated party plans (if comms and power are offline while group is separated or away from primary location).

Have supply caches on bug out routes or rally locations, etc

Have paper maps of AO and routes. Know local topography and that on bug out routes.

Have working knowledge of walking distance water sources, caves, mines.

Have the ability to downsize from primary location to vehicle to foot, without need to repack or commit time.

Decide what is worth defending with your life and find consensus with team- food? location? people? etc

Share afterlife requests, and terminal injury/illness preferences.

Pray.

Endure.

there is probably more, but my notebook is away from me ATM. :)

All plans should be PACE fortified -

Primary

Alternate

Contingency

Emergency"
