For example, the NG's eXportable Combat Training Capability program is a field training exercise that helps certify platoon proficiency in coordination with the First Army. The NG has also equipped the USMC with the Next Generation Handheld Targeting Device (NGHTS), which helps Marines identify ground targets in a variety of conditions.
