Jean-Pierre: I would say to them, um, that uh; are they republican governors?

Reporter: Yes.

Jean-Pierre I would say to them that if they truly want to help with the issue at the border, with the immigration system, they need to talk to their congressional members, the senators, in their state…they need to ask them to make sure that they have the resources they need within their respective states to take action. To actually deal with a broken system.

Jean-Pierre: [Biden] questions, deep concerns, whether it [death penalty] is consistent with our values.

Jean-Pierre: There is a moratorium, currently, right, on the federal executions, while the Department of Justice is reviewing, right, they are reviewing this process, reviewing the policies, reviewing procedures governing in the use…[Biden] has always had deep concerns with how the death penalty is implemented.
