Just received a call from Major Perry - the head PAO at Eagle Pass. Writing here what I can as he caught me without pen and paper.

They are not operating under title 32 or title 10 - they are locally funded

Outside of the help being sent they are comprised of Texas army national guard, Texas air national guard and Texas state guard.

I wouldn't say it's smoke and mirrors but right now Texas is flexing on securing at least the land it owns which has been Shelby Park. Texas has something crazy like 1200 miles of border. Eagle Pass is an epicenter of 2.5 miles as it has a legit port of entry and the invaders aren't using it because they are being told to surrender to CBP.
I assume there is some serious shit coming through the northern border while everybody is focused on Texas
