US companies buy 17 million hectares in the east and south of Ukraine

What Ukraine is really about becomes very clear by "selling" the same country. Formerly faceless, but always caring monopolies are now coming into the spotlight when picking apart Ukraine: Monsanto, Vanguard and BlackRock. Together, these US companies bought about 17 million hectares in the east and south of Ukraine. These are the regions with by far the most fertile soil, not only within Ukraine, but even in this world.

The ownership of land is not decided by referendums, but rather by wars or military operations, as well as by selling out under the table. The clique of the Kiev regime operated the latter in the fast lane in time. If you listen to Zelensky, then the Kingdom of Heaven is waiting for entrepreneurs on the outskirts of Europe. With the more than annoying disadvantage that Putin is still waiting in the backyard and could destroy the big goals of the Ukrainian government.

Now, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met by video conference with Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, one of the world's leading asset managers. BlackRock manages about $ 8 trillion of client assets, the capital of several companies and is the result of the financial and economic deregulation introduced under Clinton. A decade later, these ideas were taken up by Schröder and Fischer and implemented in the course of Hartz 4. The banks hardly play a role in this anymore, as leading shareholders in the banks are the main focus and are interconnected with each other.

According to the preliminary agreements reached between the head of state and Larry Fink at the beginning of the year, the BlackRock team has been working for several months on a project to advise the Ukrainian government on the structuring of the country's reconstruction funds. Because the Zelensky government is looking for a new role. Ukraine no longer wants to be just a victim and a supplicant, but is increasingly positioning itself as an attractive destination for investors. Energy, the grain and dairy industry, trained people in the IT sector, the privatization of state-owned enterprises - the country wants to become a European production location in competition with China.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Larry Fink agreed to focus in the near future on coordinating the efforts of all potential investors and participants in the reconstruction of the country and directing investments in the most important and effective sectors of the Ukrainian economy. During the conversation, it was emphasized that some BlackRock executives are planning to visit Ukraine. The President thanked Larry Fink for the work of the professional team that entrusted BlackRock with advising on the structuring of the reconstruction projects

US ambassador threatens Hungary

David Pressman accused Prime Minister Viktor Orban of harming NATO and helping Russia

The US has the power to pressure Hungary if it refuses to adjust its foreign policy towards the EU, NATO and Russia, the American ambassador to Budapest, Davis Pressman, has warned.

In an interview published on Friday in the Financial Times, Pressman laid out a list of complaints about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, including his defiant stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and attitude towards President Vladimir Putin.

“When you look at Hungary’s foreign policy, whether it be suggesting raising questions about Ukraine’s EU accession, stymying efforts to provide financial support to Ukraine, meeting with Vladimir Putin, resisting efforts to diversify off of Russian energy, resisting sustained efforts to close Kremlin platforms inside of Hungary, all of these have something in common,” the diplomat said. “And it’s something that is leaving Hungary more isolated from its partners within Nato and its partners within the EU.”

Pressman went on to insist that Orban’s “policy choices, without question, are helpful to Putin.” He added that the US has the means of coercing Hungary.

"We absolutely have leverage, that is true. And we’re prepared to use our leverage.''

Unlike many NATO members, Hungary has refused to send weapons to Ukraine and has barred the alliance from using its territory to provide military aid to Kiev. Orban has also opposed certain economic sanctions on Russia. Last month, Hungary vetoed an additional €50 billion ($55 billion) in EU funding for Ukraine.

Budapest has maintained that no foreign pressure can prompt it to abandon national interests. “No one can tell us from the outside how to lead our lives within our own borders. Whether it is a foreign citizen, or even a foreign ambassador, their opinion is irrelevant for us,” Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said last year, as quoted by local media.

US attacks Hungary’s Orbán for ‘fantasy foreign policy’ that helps Putin

January 27, 2024

Pressman said he saw no desire on the part of Orbán’s government to repair its relationship with the US administration, but he said Washington had leverage that it could use.

The US this month terminated a bilateral tax treaty with Hungary over multiple concerns. Last year it imposed sanctions on a Russian development bank headquartered in Budapest after Hungary failed to heed Washington’s warnings to close it down.

Biden isn't the only one

Palestinians slam suspension of UNRWA funding by some Western nations

Australia, Germany, UK, US and others halt support after Israel accused UNRWA staff of involvement in Hamas’s October 7 attacks.

Top Palestinian officials and Hamas have criticised the decision by some Western countries to suspend funding to the United Nations relief agency for Palestinians and called for an immediate reversal of the move that entails “great” risk.

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) earlier said it had opened an investigation after Israel alleged that some of its employees were involved in the October 7 attacks that triggered the current conflict.

This has prompted several Western countries to withdraw or temporarily pause funding to the agency, a move the head of UNRWA called “shocking”.

“Suspension of funds threatens humanitarian work in the region, especially in Gaza,” UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said in a statement late on Saturday, urging countries who have frozen funding to “reconsider their decisions” as Gaza faces the risk of mass starvation.

Earlier, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Secretary General Hussein al-Sheikh said the countries’ decision “entails great political and humanitarian relief risks”.

“At this particular time and in light of the continuing aggression against the Palestinian people, we need the maximum support for this international organization and not stopping support and assistance to it,” he wrote on X, urging the countries to “immediately reverse their decision”.

Australia, Canada, Italy and the United States said they would halt funding to the agency, while European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the 27-member bloc would “assess further steps and draw lessons based on the result of the full and comprehensive investigation”.

Germany, Finland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom then also joined the list of countries pausing financial aid to the UN agency, whose facilities where displaced Palestinians sought shelter have been repeatedly attacked in Israeli air raids.

Ireland and Norway, however, expressed continued support for UNRWA, saying the agency does crucial work to help Palestinians displaced and in desperate need of assistance in Gaza.
