Trump: I Will Send Texas Reinforcements, Not a Restraining Order

https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/donald-trump-texas-caucus/2024/01/27/id/1151236/

Former President Donald Trump, speaking in a Commit to Caucus rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, promised that he will support Texas in its battle to secure the border, not push back against the state like the Biden administration is doing.

"When I'm president, instead of trying to send Texas a restraining order, I will send them reinforcements," Trump told the large crowd gathered at Big League Dreams sports park in Las Vegas.

"Instead of fighting border states, I will use every resource tool and authority of the U.S. president to defend the United States of America from this horrible invasion that is taking place right now," Trump said during the rally, which aired live on Newsmax and simulcast on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform.

He further vowed that he will "deploy all necessary military and law enforcement resources to seal up the final section of the border."

"We built over 500 miles of wall," he said. "Usually you like to know the other side, and you like to know where the other side's coming from. Nobody to this day can explain why this open wound is good for our country."

Trump added that the influx of potential Hispanic votes is also not good for President Joe Biden and Democrats.

"With the Hispanic vote, we're doing better now than the Democrat Party," he said. "We're going to repeal the invasion."

He pointed out that when he campaigned in 2016, "we had a very bad border," but that when he was elected, he solved the problems.

But when 2020 rolled around, "I didn't have the border to run on because I did such a good job with the border that the border wasn't an issue," Trump said. "I did such a good job, I took it out of play. And now I'm saying the border is in play like it's never been in play before, because what they've done is they've taken all of the things that I did to make it so good. Literally, we couldn't put it in a speech. Nobody wanted to hear about the border. We had no border problem."

But, Trump said, "Crooked Joe Biden is fighting Texas to tear our beautiful border security down there," by ordering the razor wire that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered to be put up cut down.

As a result of Biden's policies, Trump said the border situation is a "catastrophe waiting to happen."

"There has never been a country where millions and millions of people are able to flow in with no vetting, no checking, no nothing," he said. "We don't know who they are. We don't know where they come from … and we have no idea what we're doing with our country. Our country's going to hell because of incompetent or bad people."

Trump further thanked Abbott and Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, as well as the state of Texas, "for rightly invoking the invasion clause of the U.S. Constitution. It's an invasion."

Trump: Border Bill Isn't Designed to Stop Immigration

https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/donald-trump-border-bill-security/2024/01/27/id/1151237/

The "so-called border security bill" being sought by President Joe Biden is not designed to stop illegal immigration; it's designed to continue the invasion of the United States while sending "billions of dollars" to Ukraine and other countries, former President Donald Trump said in his Las Vegas campaign rally Saturday.

He further promised the crowd at Big League Dreams sports park in Las Vegas that "within moments of my inauguration, we will begin the largest domestic deportation operation in my life" as the current situation is "not sustainable."

"Ukraine is an interesting case," Trump said during the rally, which aired live on Newsmax and simulcast on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform. "People always want to know my feelings. Number one, we're in for $200 billion-plus, and the European nations are in for $20 billion, and it's more important for them."

He also expressed his doubts that NATO would help the United States if needed.

"Let's say we were attacked," said Trump. "I can tell you country by country who would be there, but I don't believe that they would be there."

But as for the proposed border compromise legislation, which could tie border legislation in with funding for Ukraine, "the monstrosity that we're dealing with is 2 million illegals across the border … Now that number is changing to maybe eight times that amount. We cannot let this happen to our country."

Trump added that "as the leader of our party, there is zero chance I will support this horrible open borders betrayal of America. It's not going to happen."

He said that it's "OK" that members of the Senate are blaming him for an agreement not being reached, as "they were getting ready to pass a very bad bill."

He noted that House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., has also said the bill is dead on arrival.

"The single greatest threat to our country right now is the people pouring into our country because we have no idea who they are," said Trump. "The fact is that if Joe Biden truly wanted to secure the border, he doesn't really need a bill. I didn't need a bill. I did it without a bill. I did it with the current laws. I used the Border Patrol."

Biden Met Chinese Energy President: Hunter Associate

https://www.newsmax.com/politics/hunter-biden-rob-walker-joe-biden/2024/01/27/id/1151219/

Biden family associate Rob Walker in a deposition Friday testified that Joe Biden in 2017 met with the leader of a Chinese government-linked company that paid millions to his family.

Walker made the statement during the House's impeachment inquiry into Biden and came after a prepared opening statement in which he claimed the president was "never involved" in his son's business dealings.

"Today we learned that Joe Biden met with the now-missing Chairman of CEFC, Ye Jianming, as Hunter Biden and his associates received $3 million from a Chinese entity CEFC controlled. Evidence continues to reveal the Bidens sold the 'Biden Brand' to enrich the Biden family," House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer said in a statement.

"The Chinese company paid Hunter Biden and his associates $3 million shortly after Joe Biden left office as a 'thank you' for the work they did while Joe Biden was in office. Members of the Biden family received payments from the Chinese deal even though they did not work on it. This is the type of swampy influence peddling the American people want us to end," he added.

A second source familiar with Walker's testimony told the New York Post that Joe Biden's appearance was described as innocent.

"Walker told the Committee that he believes Joe Biden briefly dropped by because Joe Biden simply wanted to lay eyes on his son who was in and out of sobriety," the second person said.

Walker had previously described the meeting, taking place at the Four Seasons hotel in Washington, D.C., to the FBI as an incident in which Biden dropped by during a lunch between his son and the CEFC associates.

The FBI interview, released earlier by the House Ways and Means Committee, did not mention Ye as a participant.

Walker's attorney, Edward McAndrew, and a representative for the Oversight Committee's top representative, Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., did not immediately dispute that Walker named Ye in his Friday deposition, reports The New York Post.

Comer said the committee plans to release the full transcript of the Walker interview soon.

Walker also contended that the business activities he and Biden pursued were "well within the bounds of legitimate business activities," the source said.

Walker distributed more than $1 million to the Biden family from Romanian businessman Gabriel Popoviciu between November 2015 and May 2017, when then-Vice President Biden was speaking out about corruption in that country.

Walker also reportedly passed along more than $1 million to Hunter Biden, as well as to James and Hallie Biden, from a CEFC affiliate, starting in March 2017.

Walker reportedly met Hunter Biden while President Bill Clinton was in office, and he worked on Joe Biden's presidential campaign in 2008. His wife had also worked for Jill Biden during her husband's vice presidency under then-President Barack Obama, a source told Newsmax.

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden's work with CEFC, began in 2015 when his father was in office, the source added.
