Gold veins are typically found in areas where there are geological processes that concentrate gold into ore deposits. Here are the common environments where gold veins can be found:

Quartz Veins: Gold often occurs in quartz veins within rocks like granite or schist. These veins form when mineral-rich fluids flow through rock fractures and deposit minerals.

Placer Deposits: When gold erodes from veins, it gets transported by water and deposited in stream beds as placer deposits. This is often in the form of small particles or nuggets.

Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) Deposits: These are a type of metal sulphide ore deposit, mainly copper-zinc which can contain gold and silver in varying amounts.

Epithermal Deposits: These are formed by volcanic activity and are often associated with silver and other minerals. Gold in these deposits is often found near the surface.

Lode Deposits: These are the traditional hard rock deposits where gold is found in solid rock formations.

Secondary Deposits: Gold can also be found in secondary deposits formed by weathering and erosion of primary gold ores.
