Three US Troops Killed In Jordan Drone Attack By Iran-Linked Militants

An overnight drone attack on a US military outpost in northeast Jordan has killed three American troops and left 25 more injured, according to breaking reports Sunday morning.

The outpost, called Tower 22, is located very close to the Syrian border, and the casualty rate is so high as soldiers were reportedly sleeping in tents when the drone struck. By all accounts thus far, the drone appears to have come from Syrian territory.

President Joe Biden issued a statement announced the attack on Americans, saying that "radical Iran-backed militant groups" in Syria and Iraq were behind it.

"While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq," Biden said. "Have no doubt - we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing."

"Jill and I join the families and friends of our fallen - and Americans across the country - in grieving the loss of these warriors in this despicable and wholly unjust attack," the statement added.

According to CNN:

US Central Command confirmed in a statement on Sunday that three service members were killed and 25 injured in a one-way drone attack that "impacted at a base in northeast Jordan."

US officials have said that identities of the slain will not be revealed for 24 hours until their families have been notified.

Tower 22 is also close to the Iraq border, and the US occupation base at Tanf…

Crucially, these are the first known American troop deaths in the Middle East region since Hamas Oct.7 terror attack.

Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, expressed shock upon learning that both Judge Kaplan and Roberta Kaplan, who are not related, previously worked together at the same prestigious law firm in the early 1990s.

This connection was uncovered by The Post columnist Charles Gasparino, following a tip that Judge Kaplan was once a mentor to Roberta Kaplan.

According to The Post, Judge Kaplan and Roberta Kaplan were employed at Paul, Weiss, Rifkin, Wharton & Garrison in the early 1990s.

Judge Kaplan served as a partner until his appointment to the federal bench in 1994, while Roberta Kaplan worked there until 2016 before founding her own firm, Kaplan Hecker & Fink.

The New York Post reported:

Roberta Kaplan worked at Paul, Weiss Rifkin, Wharton & Garrison in Midtown from 1992 to 2016, before leaving to become a founding partner of Kaplan Hecker & Fink, according to her LinkedIn page.

During her early years at Paul Weiss, she worked as associate of the firm at the same time as Judge Kaplan, who was a partner there until 1994 when he was appointed to the federal bench by then-President Bill Clinton.

Zak Sawyer, a rep for Roberta Kaplan, insisted no conflict exists.

“They overlapped for less than two years in the early 1990s at a large law firm when he was a senior partner and she was a junior associate and she never worked for him,” said Sawyer, who declined to provide further comment.

But a former Paul Weiss partner who asked not to be named said like all associates at the firm, Roberta Kaplan did her best to distinguish herself before partners, including Lewis Kaplan.

“Lew was like her mentor,” claimed the former partner.

Habba criticized the lack of disclosure of this past professional relationship, calling it “insane” and “incestuous,” and a potential violation of judicial ethics rules.

“This is news to us,” said Habba. “We are going to include this in our appeal and take appropriate measures. The fact it wasn’t disclosed is an ethics violation.”

On Friday, a jury ordered Donald Trump to pay $83.3 million to E. Jean Carroll over defamatory remarks he made about her while he was president in response to her rape accusation.

House Republicans Introduce Two Articles of Impeachment Against DHS Secretary Mayorkas

The House of Representatives released articles of impeachment against Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas for high crimes and misdemeanors on Saturday.

The amendment in the nature of a substitute to H.R. 863, offered by Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), outlines the grave allegations against Mayorkas, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing debate over immigration policies and border security.

The articles of impeachment, exhibited by the House of Representatives, cite Mayorkas’s willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law, failure to control the border to the detriment of national security, compromise of public safety, and violation of the rule of law and separation of powers in the Constitution.

Article I of the Impeachment: “Willful and Systemic Refusal to Comply with the Law”

The first article accuses Secretary Mayorkas of willfully and systematically refusing to comply with federal immigration laws. It alleges that his actions, or lack thereof, have resulted in millions of illegal immigrants entering the United States.

This, according to the resolution, not only violates the Constitution’s separation of powers but also poses significant threats to national security and imposes substantial costs on states and localities.

Specific violations include the alleged refusal to comply with detention mandates of the Immigration and Nationality Act, resulting in a “catch and release” scheme.

The resolution cites multiple sections of the Act which it claims have been blatantly disregarded by Mayorkas, leading to unlawful releases of immigrants and failure to detain individuals as required by law.

Additionally, the amendment accuses Mayorkas of abdicating his statutory duty to control the border and guard against illegal entry. Ukrainian Defence Officials Charged With Stealing $40 Million From Weapons Budget

Employees from a Ukrainian arms firm conspired with defense ministry officials to embezzle almost $40 million earmarked to buy 100,000 mortar shells for the war with Russia, Ukraine’s security service reported.

The SBU said late Saturday that five people have been charged, with one person detained while trying to cross the Ukrainian border. If found guilty, they face up to 12 years in prison.

The investigation comes as Kyiv attempts to clamp down on corruption in a bid to speed up its membership in the European Union and NATO. Officials from both blocs have demanded widespread anti-graft reforms before Kyiv can join them.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was elected on an anti-corruption platform in 2019, long before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Both the president and his aides have portrayed the recent firings of top officials, notably that of Ivan Bakanov, former head of the State Security Service, in July 2022, as proof of their efforts to crack down on graft.

Security officials say that the current investigation dates back to August 2022, when officials signed a contract for artillery shells worth 1.5 billion hryvnias ($39.6 million) with arms firm Lviv Arsenal.

After receiving payment, company employees were supposed to transfer the funds to a business registered abroad, which would then deliver the ammunition to Ukraine.

Researchers urge governments to endorse a global moratorium on mRNA injections in a newly released science paper

In a paper published on Wednesday, researchers re-analysed the Pfizer covid “vaccine” phase 3 trial data and found more serious adverse events among those in the vaccine group.

This is not what published reports from Pfizer’s phase 3 trials said. “Many key trial findings were either misreported or omitted entirely from published reports,” the researchers said.

Seven researchers – M. Nathaniel Mead, Stephanie Seneff, Russ Wolfinger, Jessica Rose, Kris Denhaerynck, Steve Kirsch and Peter A. McCullough – set out to re-analyse Pfizer’s trial data because:

our understanding of covid vaccinations and their impact on health and mortality has evolved substantially since the first vaccine rollouts; and,

problems with the methods, execution, and reporting of the pivotal phase 3 trials have emerged.

On Wednesday, they published their findings in a peer-reviewed paper titled ‘Covid-19 mRNA Vaccines: Lessons Learned from the Registrational Trials and Global Vaccination Campaign’. The paper was published in Cureus, a journal of medical science.

“Re-analysis of the Pfizer trial data identified statistically significant increases in serious adverse events (SAEs) in the vaccine group,” the researchers wrote.

Adding, “Numerous SAEs were identified following the Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA), including death, cancer, cardiac events, and various autoimmune, haematological, reproductive, and neurological disorders.”

The EUA the researchers are referring to is the authorisation granted to Pfizer by the US Food and Drugs Administration (“FDA”).

As the paper noted, Pfizer’s covid “vaccines” never underwent adequate safety and toxicological testing according to previously established scientific standards. It goes on to detail the absolute risk reduction, the underreporting of harms during trials, the shifting narratives and illusions of protection, quality control and manufacturing process-related impurities, the biological mechanisms underlying adverse events (“AEs”) and why, based on how our immune systems work, the vaccine is ineffective.

Concluding their comprehensive review, the researchers wrote:

Given the extensive, well-documented SAEs and unacceptably high harm-to-reward ratio, we urge governments to endorse a global moratorium on the modified mRNA products until all relevant questions pertaining to causality, residual DNA, and aberrant protein production are answered.

IRAQI RESISTANCE DRONES ATTACKS FOUR U.S. BASES, ISRAELI NAVY SITE

Suicide drones launched by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI), an umbrella group of Iranian-backed armed factions, have targeted four bases hosting United States forces in Iraq and Syria as well as a military facility in Israel.

The group announced the attacks on January 28. In separate statements, it said a U.S. base located near the town of Khirbat Adana in the northeastern Syria governorate of al-Hasakah was attacked late on January 27, and three other bases, al-Tanf garrison and al-Rukan camp in the southeastern region as well as al-Shadadi base in al-Hasakah, were targeted after midnight.

Also on January 28 morning, another attack targeted a key site of the Israeli Navy near the town of ZevulunI in northern Israel, the group said.

In addition, a U.S. base located next to Erbil International Airport in the northern Iraqi autonomous region of Kurdistan was targeted in the afternoon.

The attacks, which were all carried out using suicide drones, were carried out in response to “the massacres of the Zionist entity” against Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the IRI noted in its statements.

There were no reports of losses after the IRI attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that a single drone was shot down over al-Tanf.
