I think the clock is both predictive and retroactive. Q has said so many times about future and past. It is all wound up in the graphic (the clock).

I always try to at least read the shared marker posts (the ones that appear at the same marker on the clock) that some fag shows off his photoshop skills with.

I also read the opposite ones and often graph them on the clock. I then read the ones that share the same second marker in order. Very nice, cohesive way to read Q. This is time traveller's approach to reading Q applied in a different context.
