it doesn't make it untrue to say 'you say' instead of ye speaketh does it?

seriously

There is no reason at all to think it is more correct when it is already paraphrased from the actual dialog( which, in most instances as well, is not the actual word spoken)

To no one in particular.

ye = you

it does not change a thing

speak = speaketh

does not change a thing

except to make the words more palatable for those who live in the 21st century.

unless, you feel more superior to be able to quote a script from 100s of years ago.

They are still, no matter what you print saying one is more superior than the other, not the words Jesus and others spoke, in the day.

Those are words printed IN THE DAY the current time, those people were alive, hundreds of years ago.

DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT.

It does not make them more true. They made it easier for people in that time, to read and understand. That is all.
