Of course that was when farmers used to make their own gasoline. It was legal to have a still…just run your corn through the still three times, and out comes ethanol.

Would you be surprised to find out, that the temperance movement and prohibition had NOTHING to do with drunks in towns, that women were used as tools (again)? And that it had everything to do with laws against making your own alcohol (gas)?

After the gas companies got what they wanted, the stills on farms were gone. Then they bring back drinking alcohol (YAY, good government it finally saw sense!)…but they never re-legalized making it yourself.

And by then, nobody cared.
