In the song Cruel Summer (probably one of my favorite songs of all time) Taylor sings that line, and fans couldn’t help but notice…that Karlie’s West Village apartment had a garden gate entrance that Taylor would use to visit her.

As a West Village resident myself - I feel like I have some grounds to say this. Both Karlie and Taylor lived in the West Village in New York (the iconic Cornelia Street proves that) and Taylor references both of these places a lot in her Lover and Reputation albums.

She claims that these songs are about Joe - her British boyfriend who lives in London. It makes no sense. With phrases like “you’re the West Village” and “I get mystified by how this city (Manhattan) screams your name” it’s just so obvious to me that she’s not talking about Joe. Joe screams London. Karlie lives in New York, has billboards of her face all over this city, attended classes at NYU, was the one who convinced Taylor to move to New York…I’m just saying if anyone’s name screams New York it’s certainly not Joe Alwyn.

Karlie lived with her. How many straight millionaire friends live together?

Some say this was actually where things started to go south in their relationship (that Karlie would have people over to Taylor’s without telling her) but at any rate - it’s confirmed that Karlie literally had her own bedroom in Taylor’s New York apartment.

There are too many hints in her lyrics. Me music video is all lgbtq positive themed and the song is literally called “me”…. Not to mention her continuously using the term “hairpin drop” in her Lyrics. Or “I don’t want you like a best friend” “we were supposed to be just friends” I am suspicious.
