Why Musk would have done so in the first place is suspect to anon. Not a business law expert anon here, but anon has gotten an impression on Delaware incorporation over the years. And that is that Delaware is a good place to hide your identity, and ownership of a company, behind agents acting on your behalf. It seems to be among the most popular places to hide who actually owns extremely valuable assets. Like private jets and other high dollar items. Delaware throws up an information roadblock.
