It's all for show…
The only thing any impeachment will accomplish is to pull the Senate's attention from proposing horrible deals on the budget and the border for a while. Impeachment trials trump any other business the Senate has until it is complete.
I'd like to think the trial would have the potential to red pill a few more useful idiots, but the likelihood of the MSM actually covering it fairly is next to zero.
