The Oregon Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that 10 Republican state senators are ineligible to run for reelection after they participated in a quorum-denying walkout for six weeks last year to stall legislation on abortion, transgender treatments and firearms. The high court decided in favor of Oregon Secretary of State LaVonne Griffin-Valade, who had disqualified the senators from running for office again after voters approved a measure in 2022 to amend the state constitution to ban lawmakers with more than 10 unexcused absences from running again.

Today I am covering the trucker convoy rally at Dripping Springs. Already there are stories/statements being posted that look designed to incite. The security advisors for the rally showed me a list of names of known agitators, some confirmed by local law enforcement. They know who you are so stay away. This rally is meant to be peaceful - no violence. Do not fall for inflammatory posts - check & verify before you react. It you have a strong emotional response to something, MAKE SURE you stop, breathe and verify before believing. Do not be intimidated but don’t make it easy for them to bring you down either. Stay smart, stay calm. Stay peaceful. That is the advice from the organizers & security consultants.
