Happy National Texas Day! FADM Chester Nimitz was born in Fredericksburg in 1885. In 1943, the governor of Texas presented Nimitz with a state flag for the Pearl Harbor Navy Yard. Nimtz once said "If there is anything bigger than the state of Texas, it is the Pacific Ocean."
