You know… after being attacked daily for over six months now by a mimic, you can't help but notice he's been gone all day, and another persona has been in place for the times the mimic would be active. I'm sure that's just a coincidence though.

No, I just noticed that the regular clowns that were spamming non-stop haven't been around today but another one has. It's a matter of extrapolation, nothing moar. The fact that you felt you had to spend enough effort to try and belittle that observation as something I should consider as negligent, thus trying to force a certain kind of behavior, is another tell in itself as well.
They just recycled personas. The posting and the leeching to the ID once replied to is there. I guess they figured it was enough time that there would be a whole new set of eyes for them to get away with trying it again. It's the regular clowns, just swapped personas without a doubt.
