In WWII there was a submarine base built by the US navy right near Epsteins island on the big island. After the war it was sold by the government to who knows who. It's right near Little St. James Island. I read about it one day in a dig, about how there were all these people of the same ethnicity who were so happy to be there. They had published their letters.
