WhyNOTWellesley, Martha's Vineyard, Dover, Sherborn, Weston, Lexington, Longmeadow, Lenox, Nantucket, and all the other "special" places for the "special" people?
Who the fuck cares who's who?
Healey wants y'all to open your homes, dammit, so you must do what your dictator tells you to do.
As for Curley? He was no saint, either. Just checked him out when you mentioned him and was disappointed to see that he was a scumbag, like every other politician up there.
Curley was the Massachusetts Governor
from January 3, 1935, until January 7,
-
He did not run for re-election. Curley, instead, unsuccessfully ran for United States Senate.
Curley was imprisoned on a fraud conviction after Curley and the unrelated Thomas
Curley helped two applicants in their district cheat on federal civil service exams for
postmen. They did this by criminally impersonating the applicants and taking the exams for them.
Curley was under investigation for war profiteering and was found guilty of mail fraud. Governor Curley was sentenced to 6–18 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, but under pressure from (who else?) the Massachusetts congressional delegation, and in consideration of Curley's poor health, President Truman commuted his sentence after only five months.
Curley was scum, like the ones in office there now.
His relative, Grace Curley, is Howie Carr's protege, but she's just controlled opposition in that corner of the USA, the way other parts of the country have seemingly "conservative" talking heads in positions of public prominence.
It's a big, shit-filled club, and we ain't in it.
But we are not tolerating it, in any state or commonwealth, anymoar.
Time's up for criminals, and law and order is being restored.
So I hear. . . .
