but, if this is an accurate translation of the quran, then i agree it does say Jesus is God. seems like kind of a big deal.
"Word" is the key, not "spirit".
All words begin as thoughts. Thoughts are centered in the mind.
When it says Jesus is the Word of God, it is saying that Jesus is the articulation, the expression, of the Mind of God. As the expression of God's Mind, Jesus is God. God made manifest.
So, there you have it.
