Bullshit history
~ theory of how to make lead was lost for one thousand years and then re-discovered in the Middle Ages.
NOPE.
It was probably discovered or the process invented in Byzantium times and then the "invention" was projected back to "Ancient" Rome - because our Chronology is assumed correct.
PREMISE is Scalagarian chronology is correct. So and knowledge is fit into that framework.
In line with what Tucker said about "knowledge lost"
When you find out known and provable history doesn't go back 6 thousand years… the blank-out is much nearer to our own times.
And so mystery of "what came before" feels deeper.
