Was the movie 2012 a sales pitch by the Chinese to build Arks for everyone who could afford a ticket?

And then I recalled the end of the movie, where the benevolent Americans took in the Russians when their Chinese-built ark failed to sail, the captain of the Amero-Russo Ark crows about the Cape of Good Hope and how it didn't flood. But only after the encounter with Mount Everest, as if to imply not even Everest will sink this ship…kek

Then, I thought what about the survivors at the Cape of Good Hope. How do you think they're going to feel about hundreds of thousands of "entitled" elites landing on their shores. I bet they'll wanna keep what they got, eh?

Maybe that's why this particular sales pitch didn't quite fly. And the "elites" in their panic build bunkers.
