McGovern [Rules Committee]: Republicans know that Secretary Mayorkas is a dedicated public servant, who has served America honorably and truthfully for decades.

Chairman Green: It is unambiguous that Secretary Mayorkas has refused to comply with federal immigration laws, and acted in a manner subversive to the rule of law. He has threatened the integrity of our constitutional system, and imperiled the congress, a co-equal branch of government, by ordering DHS employees to violate laws passed by congress…and he has implemented a catch and release scheme, violating detention requirements, and misused parole authority.

Thompson: [Mayorkas] has removed record levels of migrants from the US, detained more people than congress has provided funding for, and prevented record levels of Fentanyl from entering our communities.

McGovern suggests that not knowing who will replace Mayorkas is reason to not impeach. kek
