Law Enforcement officers are a necessary part of our society.
if they are 'done away with' a new version rises from the ashes of the turmoil.
no matter what you do you need people who watch the doors and windows and help maintain order.
doing away with the police is not a smart choice, nor is it a feasible long term plan other than, perhaps, deputizing every citizen who isn't crazy and is over a certain age.

thinking how dangerous their jobs are and praying for them silently during the encounter.

no breakthrough means no EV revolution.
someone must have been banking on 'free energy' and much smaller and lighter batteries but . . . that hasn't happened.
and so the idea of all vehicles being EV's is a failure.
and in cold weather, too, EV's are a failure.
no matter how much money you have you can't change the physics of charging and cold weather isn't conducive to charging batteries.
so, money is nice. But 'the most money' doesn't make someone right or technology feasible from an engineering and logistics point of view.
