Jean-Pierre: We have a bi-partisan agreement that the senate put forth…there's actually a piece of legislation…it is the toughest and the fairest piece of legislation that we've seen in decades…we want to see this agreement move forward.
Reporter: It's been two weeks since the court gave [Biden] a victory over Texas on border control. Two days ago Governor Abbott said he's going to expand Texas' control of another stretch of the border. Has Texas won this showdown? When can we expect to see any action by [Biden] in response?
Jean-Pierre: I've been pretty clear about what Governor Abbott continues to do, which is play politics…it's inhumane, and it's dehumanizing.
Reporter: Tucker Carlson is in Moscow, and just confirmed that he is going to be interviewing Russian President, Vladimir Putin…he contended in his preview video that the Biden administration has attempted to prevent him from interviewing Vladimir Putin. Do you have a comment on either the interview or that allegation?
Jean-Pierre: Absolutely not.
Reporter: Absolutely not a comment, or actually not, that didn't happen?
Jean-Pierre: Absolutely not, a comment, to be more clear. Period.
Garcia [House Debate over Mayorkas Impeachment]: We're here today because the Majority wants to attack [Biden] and Secretary Mayorkas, all to elect Donald Trump. Issa: Today we are, in fact, impeaching a pawn. We're impeaching a pawn for [Biden]. The secretary is being impeached for what he did wrong, he is in fact guilty as alleged, but in fact, he is just part of the high crimes and misdemeanor of the President of the United States…I believe [Mayorkas] is just obeying the order of his boss. But that has been said before. That excuse has been used…the president can be wrong. The president can order high crimes and misdemeanors. The president can be guilty of them. This president is, in fact, guilty of that which we are impeaching the secretary for today, but so is the secretary.
Jeffries: Extreme MAGA Republicans have produced no evidence that Secretary Mayorkas has engaged in a high crime or misdemeanor. No evidence that Secretary has engaged in an impeachable offense. And no evidence that Secretary Mayorkas has broken the law or violated the Constitution. Not a shred of evidence Not a scintilla of evidence. Nothing.
