Initial 3-Judge Panel Within DC Circuit Court of Appeals, Rules Against Presidential Immunity –

February 6, 2024 | Sundance |

Three judges from the Washington DC Circuit Court of Appeals have denied the immunity request from President Trump.

In a rather stark decision reached by the panel [SEE Ruling Here] “We have balanced former President Trump’s asserted interests in executive immunity against the vital public interests that favor allowing this prosecution to proceed,” the court wrote in its ruling Tuesday. “We conclude that the interest in criminal accountability, held by both the public and the Executive Branch, outweighs the potential risks of chilling Presidential action and permitting vexatious litigation.” (They figure they can protect Obama, Clinton and Bush if cases come up on them, is my guess)

WASHINGTON – The judges put their decision on hold only until Monday to allow Trump to ask the Supreme Court to take up the immunity fight on an emergency basis. If he does so, the decision won’t take effect until the high court acts on his request, the appeals panel decreed. (read more)

The court essentially stayed its own ruling, pending a punt to the Supreme Court.

(The Trap Has Been Set by DCI wonder if the SC can censure them later for playing politics?)

Tucker Carlson Goes to the Forbidden Zone to Interview Public Enemy #2, Vladimir Putin

February 6, 2024

I’m not sure what provoked Tucker Carlson to actually follow through on this plan; I know he was deeply worried about being arrested in Russia. However, Carlson did something every U.S. journalist should do, even though they are forbidden by the State Dept from doing it.

The reason the U.S. Government doesn’t want people traveling into Russia, is specifically because people will tell the experience of their time in Russia, and that will run completely counter to the acceptable narrative. Tucker Carlson took the chance, and the intelligence apparatus is likely going bananas. WATCH: (same video as yesterday)

If we lived in a world governed by grown-ups, this interview would not be even slightly controversial. Unfortunately, we live in a world choreographed by the U.S. intelligence apparatus to provide us only one skewed version of global reality. When it comes to Russia, nothing… not a single thing…. is in alignment with what Western media proclaim is the reality.

Sundance went to EU and Poland to cover this, great he’s doing it

Polish Farmers Plan Solidarity General Strike for Next Friday

February 3, 2024Sundance |

Things are getting very interesting in the EU, specifically the nations with significant uprisings of farmers and truckers.

What I find interesting in this Reuters story, is thefirst time one of the MSM publications has been willing to identify the true intent of the protests.

WARSAW, Feb 2 (Reuters) – Polish farmers from the Solidarity trade union plan a general strike starting next Friday with a blockade of border crossings between Poland and Ukraine, it said, joining similar protests, opens new tab all over Europe.

Farmers in France, Belgium, Portugal, Greece and Germany have been protesting against the constraints placed on them by EU measures to tackle climate change, as well as rising costs and unfair competition from abroad. Polish farmers have been particularly vocal about theimpact of cheap food imports from neighbouring Ukraine.

“Our patience has run out. Brussels’ position on the last day of January 2024 is unacceptable for our entire agricultural community,” the trade union said in a statement dated Thursday.

“Additionally, the passivity of the Polish authorities… regarding the import of agricultural produce and food products from Ukraine leave us with no other choice but to declare a general strike.”

The European Commission said it was listening closely to the concerns expressed by farmers in protests taking place in several member states. (read more)

I arrive in Poland at noon tomorrow… I’ll let you know what I find, and what comes next… 🙂

EU PROTEST Update

February 5, 2024

I will be providing an update later tonight. (Charts of flights)

The principal elements guiding the organization, which have further possibilities beyond the EU, are similar to the Solidarity movement.

>>20372032 Former President Trump's White House lawyer Ty Cobb predicts the Supreme Court will rule unanimously against the 45th president on his claims to be immune from criminal prosecution (PN)

The relationship between Trump and Cobb didn’t end well, thats why he’s saying this.

Ty Cobb Out from Trump Legal Team, Replaced By Clinton Impeachment Lawyer

President Donald Trump’s White House lawyer Ty Cobb is retiring from his post, likely at the end of the month, according to a New York Times report published Wednesday afternoon. The attorney, who told the Timeshe let the president know of his intentions to retire weeks ago, will be replaced by Washington lawyer Emmet T. Flood, who represented former President Bill Clintonthroughout his impeachment.

“It has been an honor to serve the country in this capacity at the White House,” Cobb told the paper. “I wish everybody well moving forward.”

Via the NYT:

Mr. Flood is expected to take a more adversarial approach to the investigation than Mr. Cobb, who had pushed Mr. Trump to strike a cooperative tone. Mr. Flood initially spoke with the White House last summer about working for the president, but the talks ultimately fell apart because Mr. Flood did not want to deal with Mr. Trump’s longtime New York lawyer, Marc E. Kasowitz, who was overseeing the president’s dealings with the special counsel at the time.

Mr. Flood’s hiring has not been made final, the people cautioned, noting Mr. Trump’s practice of reneging on personnel decisions after they are reported in the press.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, theWhite House lawyer said a sit-down interview between Trump and Special Counsel Robert Mueller is “certainly not off the table” during a Wednesday interview with ABC News.

“It’s certainly not off the table and people are working hard to make decisions and work towards an interview,” Cobb said on the Wednesday morning episode of ABC’s “Powerhouse Politics” podcast.

Lawyers for the president have sparred over whether he should meet with the Special Counsel to discuss possible connections his 2016 campaign had with Russian officials that he may have been aware of. Trump first hired Cobb in July 2017 to lead his administration’s response to the ongoing Russia probe. In a statement, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said “For several weeks Ty Cobb has been discussing his retirement and last week he let Chief of Staff Kelly know he would retire at the end of this month.”

(Every attorney that worked for Trump thought this was a terrible idea)

Trump has openly discussed firing lawyer Ty Cobb: report

BY REBECCA SAVRANSKY - 03/20/18 7:16 AM ET

President Trump has openly discussed firing his lawyer Ty Cobb, according to a report in The New York Times.

The Times reported that Trump has talked with close associates about the possibility of dismissing Cobb.

But Trump has told Cobb he does not plan to let him go, the newspaper added. The reassurance was reportedly part of an attempt to push back against the idea that Trump’s team is in disarray following questions from the Times.

Trump’s lead lawyer,=John Dowd, has also reportedly considered resigning from his job due to a lack of control over the president.

Dowd denied the report, telling the Times in an interview Monday he does not plan to leave his post.

“I’m sitting here working on the president’s case right now,” he said in a telephone interview on Monday night.

It was announced Monday that Trump is adding prominent white-collar attorney Joseph diGenova to his personal legal team, the latest sign of an increasingly aggressive stance toward special counsel Robert Mueller.

The White House insists there are no plans to fire Mueller. But Trump’s own tweets and his decision to hire diGenova — a former U.S. attorney who has attacked the FBI and Department of Justice in conservative media outlets — are the latest signs that the president is moving to discredit Mueller’s probe into Russian election meddling and possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and Moscow.

BOMBSHELL! Tucker Carlson’s Exclusive Interview with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow – Partial Transcript Released

Posted on February 6, 2024 by State of the

1/3 or 4

“In a stunning turn of events, renowned journalist Tucker Carlson has embarked on a mission of historic proportions. With the fate of Ukraine and the world hanging in the balance, Carlson has arrived in Moscow, Russia, determined to interview none other than President Vladimir Putin. Can this audacious move be the key to ending the war in Ukraine and preventing the looming catastrophe of World War Three? Read on to delve into this gripping tale of courage, journalism, and the quest for peace.”

Tucker Carlson’s Exclusive Interview with Vladimir Putin in Moscow – Full Transcript:

TUCKER: What would you tell the people running America?

PUTIN: Our message is Russia is not your enemy. We don’t want war. We’re ready for peace. Your leaders seek conflict. This is not what we want. Russia stands for its own people. We do not want what is not ours.

TUCKER: Would you visit Washington?

PUTIN: Yes, of course. I’ve been to the United States Before. I enjoy visiting and have met with every president except Joe Biden. If invited I would go. Yes.

TUCKER: What is your opinion of President Biden?

PUTIN: We’re convinced he is not running the country. Let’s say we have good sources that confirm that but it’s plain for anyone to see for themselves. The US has now entered into a dark period. It has unaccountable leadership.

TUCKER: Do you think Joe Biden won fair and square?

PUTIN: I would rather not get into domestic American politics but will say my embassy reported your southern border was better run than that 2020 election. (chuckles)

TUCKER: One poll in America shows you more popular than Biden – any reaction?

PUTIN: (laughs) I don’t know if that should be taken seriously but Russian ideals have support. We believe in traditional values; marriage is between a man and a woman: men are men and women are women.

TUCKER: Who would you like to see as the next president of the United States?

PUTIN: Once again it is not for us to say or get involved. Contrary to longstanding accusations we do not meddle in your elections. We don’t need to because the same people end up running things anyway.

TUCKER: Why did you invade Ukraine?

PUTIN: Did we invade or were we invaded? Look at the history. Look at the people living there. Historically it’s we who were invaded and are simply fighting back now. The lands and people are Russian and we will have again what was always ours.

TUCKER: How will you feel if Trump won again?

PUTIN: We had good relations when Mr. Trump was president. There was no war. Our relations were at a high point. That said nothing is predictable or stays the same. We will have to see.

TUCKER: What do you think of Mr. Zelensky and what would be your message to him?

PUTIN: I remember laughing to his jokes when he was a comedian in Russia. Let’s go back to laughs.

TUCKER: Why is that?

PUTIN: There are strong financial entities in whose interest it is to keep us as adversaries. One of your presidents warned against that. We Russians do not have that problem.

TUCKER: Do you see the United States as an enemy?

PUTIN: No. Categorically no. We were allies in WWII. Russians helped settle Alaska, California and we were in Hawaii too. Our people are not enemies but those in DC are certainly not our friends.

TUCKER: Can you be more specific and name names?

PUTIN: It would be pointless. It is not up to us to solve your domestic issues. Besides, I’m sure you know the names better than us.

TUCKER: So are you saying your adversary is not Joe Biden but the people behind him?

PUTIN: Exactly. Joe Biden may not even be aware of what’s going on. He may not understand the level of sanctions thrown at Russia. Who put those sanctions together? Those are our the adversaries.

TUCKER: Is that why you are championing the BRICS?

PUTIN: The BRICS would exist anyway. It’s a natural reaction to the western trading block. It’s a counterweight. When the dollar is weaponized against states there will be a natural alternative to it. That’s what we want….

TUCKER: Is that why you and Russia have been targeted?

PUTIN: It’s more complicated than that but I’m sure it’s a good part of the reason. Whenever the dollar is endangered, the United States takes extreme measures. It cannot afford to have the dollar fail.

TUCKER: But isn’t Russia weaker and more vulnerable economically than the US?

PUTIN: When you look at the size of economies we are small. But few people take into account our vast natural resources. Russia has over $80 trillion in the ground. No country even comes close to us.

TUCKER: What is your opinion of President Biden?

PUTIN: We are convinced he is not running the country. Let’s say we have good sources that confirm that but it’s plain for anyone to see for themselves. The US has now entered into a dark period. It has unaccountable leadership….

TUCKER: OK. Point well taken but don’t you have the same issues in Russia.

PUTIN: Yes. To a degree. But in Russia those interests are more aligned with the thinking of the average Russian man on the street. In the United States, that is not the case. The elites have deserted you.

TUCKER: So who do you think is running the US then?

PUTIN: The same forces which have always run it. You may change presidents but you do not change those in real power. That is who we have to deal with. Joe Biden is just a facade for this power structure.

TUCKER: Thank you for sitting down with us. How is your health? There have been some rumors……

PUTIN: I’m glad to talk to you and through you to the American people. I’m fine. I feel good. Given my years I’m in the best of health but father time.

TUCKER: There have been persistent reports you have cancer?

PUTIN: I assure you those rumors are false. If I had cancer and beat it I would share the good news and the cure with the world.

TUCKER: When you say some fear him are you saying Musk has enemies?

PUTIN: It’s clear to see he has enemies within the United States – the way he was stripped of $50 billion in assets – we would call that being signaled out for special treatment. It’s unfair on the face of it.

TUCKER: Didn’t you fear Musk when he started supplying Ukraine with Starlink gear?

PUTIN: If anyone seriously thinks a few internet dishes can defeat the might of Russia – well what can I say. But no, we did not fear or blame Mr. Musk. The government didn’t give him much choice.

TUCKER: Alot has changed in the world. What’s your opinion of Elon Musk?

PUTIN: We see Mr. Musk as a businessman – a highly successful one. He’s built a great fortune and a huge following. He’s a unique thinker with a force of personality who cannot be bought. Some fear that.

TUCKER: Do you any advice for Elon?

PUTIN: I would say continue on. Do not be intimidated. But if the going ever gets too rough there is Russia. We would gladly open our doors to you. We have welcomed American businessmen before and would value someone of Mr. Musk’s caliber…

TUCKER: Let’s turn to Trump. First tell me how you feel about the current situation with the likelihood of him being reelected?

PUTIN: It would be a bit strange and out of order but we are well prepared. He has promised to end the fighting in Ukraine and we support that notion.

TUCKER: How could he end you end the war so fast?

PUTIN: For one thing he never insulted us. He has a great respect for Russia. We would start from a position of friendship and trust – then all problems are solvable. We could get it done. Trust me.

TUCKER: Are you referring to Biden calling you a killer?

PUTIN: We have been the recipients of numerous insults and slurs going back a few generations of politicians. Mr. Trump was a refreshing break from that. He is very popular in Russia. Perhaps that won’t do him any good.

TUCKER: Are you in any communication with Trump?

PUTIN: No. Of course not. But should he win again our lines of communication would open up instantly whereas right now we have no dialogue with President Biden.

TUCKER: That’s shocking to me. No one from the White House has been in contact with you?

PUTIN: That’s right. No one has called since we congratulated Mr. Biden on his election victory. It’s puzzling to us that communications are colder now than during the Cold War.

TUCKER: How do you think the 2024 election will go?

PUTIN: We are just observing. It’s our responsibility to be vigilant since it will impact the world. We are hoping the election is carried out in a way where the results can be believed. In Russia we do not have mail in ballots.

TUCKER: Let’s turn to China. What is your relationship like?

PUTIN: President Xi and I are especially close. Russia and China are enjoying good relations as of now which is an obvious asset to us since they are one of our biggest energy partners. We will continue to be friends.

TUCKER: There are accusations China has helped you in the war in Ukraine. Is that true?

PUTIN: That is not something I can discuss. Let’s just say Russia isn’t an isolated power. That strategy has failed. We have more allies and trading partners now than before the war started.

TUCKER: Do you ever contemplate a situation where Russia and China may join forces against the United States?

PUTIN: Do you mean economically or militarily? I would say we want neither. It’s not in our interest to clash with the US because all sides would lose in such a conflict.

TUCKER: Speaking of conflicts, what is your take on the Gaza situation?

PUTIN: It is really unfortunate. The Palestinians are being devastated. Israel is acting in an unconstrained manner. It shows the terrible double standards in the world. Where are the sanctions on Israel?

TUCKER: Is Russia involved in any way especially through your alliance with Iran?

PUTIN: No. Of course not. We do not oppose the existence of Israel but at the same time we support the right of the Palestinians to self-determination. We want to be even-handed.

TUCKER: Are you following what’s happening on the US southern border?

PUTIN: Actually, yes. It’s part of my daily briefing. We Russians find it ironically amusing your Congress will spend billions protecting foreign borders but neglect it’s own. It’s quiet laughable but deadly.

TUCKER: Deadly? How do you mean that?

PUTIN: Deadly serious of course. People are dying daily crossing your border in an uncontrolled way. It is a free-for-all. The world hasn’t seen anything like it in the modern era – reckless for a country to throw itself wide open like that.

TUCKER: Is Russia taking advantage of the border situation in any way?

PUTIN: No. Why should we. We don’t have to do a thing. America is self-destructing. And as Napoleon said, don’t stand in the way of your enemy destroying themselves.

TUCKER: So then you do see America as an enemy?

PUTIN: That was just a saying but the current administration is definitely not a friend.

TUCKER: Can that be changed?

PUTIN: That’s why you have elections.

TUCKER: Thank you again for continuing to engage with me on so many different topics. Can we get even more interesting so to speak?

PUTIN: For sure. I am open to most subjects.

TUCKER: Let’s touch on climate change. It’s still being pushed in the United States and Europe. What’s your position?

PUTIN: Humanity is not even a Type 1 civilization on the Kardashev scale. If we can’t harness the energy potential of the planet how can we control the climate?

TUCKER: Are you at least concerned?

PUTIN: I’m more concerned with real issues. Climate change is not one of them. The Earth does a fairly good job of regulating itself. And if Siberia gets a little warmer all the better. More farmland for Russia.

TUCKER: But what would you tell the true believers who’re convinced we’re headed for disaster?

PUTIN: I’d tell them worrying about climate change is like complaining about the weather. If you don’t like the climate, move. If you are worried about the weather, get an umbrella.

TUCKER: Along those lines, how do you see the transgender movement?

PUTIN: It’s interesting to me that all the things which use to be a target of blackmail are now badges of honor. In Russia there are no laws either way but we certainly do not force our children into it.

TUCKER: Russia has been criticized for its ant gay laws and as being unfriendly to LGBTQ+.

PUTIN: We have laws which protect our children. And we do not drape our embassies in rainbow flags. That’s correct. Otherwise we do not interfere in the private lives of adult citizens.

TUCKER: Do you follow American sports? We are about to have the Super Bowl.

PUTIN: In fact, yes. Russia is a great sporting nation. We hosted the Winter Olympics and the World Cup fairly recently. We like all sports.

TUCKER: What do you think of American football?

PUTIN: It’s an interesting sport. But why do you call it football when the ball is almost always played with the hands? It also seems needlessly violent at times.

TUCKER: That’s true. Will you be watching?

PUTIN: The game will not be shown in Russia.

TUCKER: So you won’t get to see Taylor Swift either then?

PUTIN:No. We have been given a reprieve.

TUCKER: Thank you President Putin for your time.

Only two republicans had to do it. 3 of them refused. They have to satisfy their donors or they won’t get the big bucks or elected again.

I really wish Trump could have succeeded in stopping the lobbying. Unless that us stopped the republicans will always betray America. If this is stopped we will get real Congressmen and Senators

Thanks To The State Freedom Caucus Network, GOP Legislatures Are Getting More Conservative

BY: SHAWN FLEETWOOD.1/3

FEBRUARY 05, 2024

By now, most Americans are familiar with the House Freedom Caucus, a coalition of conservative representatives who disrupt the reckless policies put forward by the “uniparty” running Washington, D.C.But flying under the radar of national politics is a growing movement aiming to replicate the group’s strategy throughout the country.

The State Freedom Caucus Network (SFCN) is a nationwide organization aimed at creating freedom caucuses in America’s 50 state legislatures and advancing conservative policies. Spanning 11 states and comprised of more than 160 lawmakers, the coalition is spearheaded by SFCN President Andy Roth, who has worked on Capitol Hill for roughly 20 years and was previously affiliated with Club for Growth.

The idea of a State Freedom Caucus Network came not long after the HFC formed in 2015, and state lawmakers running for Congress expressed to Roth a desire to have such a coalition in their state legislatures. The question became: “Why don’t we have something like that at the state level?” Roth told The Federalist. “So, after talking with Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz. — who was the chair of the House Freedom Caucus [at the time] — and with other folks, we decided that we needed to formally do it.”

The SFCN was founded in December 2021.

The Mission

While Republicans currently control 23 state trifectas, an in-depth analysis published by The Daily Wire in April 2023 revealed thatmany so-called “red states” are run by GOP-dominated legislatures that are not as conservative as they should be.An investigation intoWyoming’s Republican legislators’ voting records, for example, “found that 31 legislators were ‘very liberal’ — and all but two of them had Rs behind their name,” meaning29 Republicans were “further to the left of three Democrats, who were merely ‘liberal.'”

The analysis also found thatSouth Carolina and Alabama’s Republican-controlled legislatures hadmore liberal voting records than their GOP counterparts in “blue” statessuch as Delaware and New York. Meanwhile, Florida and Wisconsin Republicans were listed as those with the most conservative voting records.

The SFCN is hoping to change this dynamic by developing freedom caucuses in state legislatures throughout the country to enact more conservative policies. While participating lawmakers introduce and push conservative legislation, the national wing of the SFCN works to provide resources and support traditionally enjoyed by the GOP establishment.

“When you have the establishment with all the resources pushing big government bills, and the people that aresupposed to defend us have no resources” during the short time state legislatures are in session, “it’s no [wonder] that we keep losing,” Roth said. “What we do is give the state freedom caucuses the support they need to fight back.”

According to Roth, this support comes in the form of state directors, who read introduced legislation, provide vote recommendations, and “help build coalition support” for good policies. The SFCN also provides communications assistance by taking a “state issue and mak[ing] it national [news].”

The Establishment Strikes Back

Having been able to evade accountability from voters for years, many establishmentRepublicans have unsurprisingly begun to retaliate against their more conservative colleagues.

After candidates backed by the South Carolina Freedom Caucus (SCFC) defeated several GOP incumbents in the state’s June 2022 primaries, for instance,Republican legislative leadership leaped into action to protect the status quo.Rather than respect the wishes of voters and their colleagues’ endorsements, GOP leaders introduced a “loyalty pledge” in December 2022 that sought toprohibit incumbent Republicans from campaigning against a fellow Republican running for reelection.

After refusing to sign onto the rule,16 South Carolina Freedom Caucus representatives were expelled from the Republican caucusby the House’s GOP leadership.

“It’s a ‘Good Ol’ Boy’ system. … You very much see universal agreement, very top-down control from leadership,” South Carolina Freedom Caucus chair and Republican Rep. Adam Morgan told The Federalist. “Conservatives are often ostracized or held back on committee assignmentsthat conservative legislation rarely moves or even gets hearings in South Carolina.”

The newly formed Missouri Freedom Caucus (MOFC) is also finding out how entrenched the GOP establishment is in their state. Earlier this month, four members of the caucus pushedthe Republican-controlled Senate to invoke a procedure to allow the body to “debate legislation making it harder to pass a constitutional amendment by initiative petition.”After the Senate rejected the motion, MOFC members orchestrated an 11-hour filibuster on several of Gov. Mike Parson’s appointees, arguing that, as the Missouri Independent described, “very few bills of any kind were being referred to committees and that GOP priorities were being lost.”

Senate President Pro TemCaleb Rowden, a Republican, threw a tantrum in response, stripping the MOFC members of their committee chairsand grossly labeling them as “a small group of swamp creatures.” Rowden also assigned the four senators “to parking spots as far from the Missouri Capitol building as possible.”

“It’s never been about policy for them,” MOFC member and GOP Sen. Bill Eigel said. “It’s been about individuals trying to preserve power at the expense of what we believe are the issues that Republicans sent us to Jefferson City for.”

Members of Idaho’s Freedom Caucus have also been stripped of committee positionsand rebuked by the state’s Republican legislative leadership for criticizing their moderate colleagues and pushing conservative policies. Similarly,Georgia Freedom Caucus member, GOP Sen. Colton Moore, was suspended from the Senate Republican Caucusin September after he called for a special legislative session to investigate Fulton County DA Fani Willis for indicting former President Donald Trump.

Making a Difference

Much to the GOP establishment’s disappointment, the SFCN and its participating lawmakers have scored numerous victories since the group’s inception.

InSouth Carolina, the state’s freedom caucus successfully pressured the Medical University of South Carolina’s “pediatric transgender clinic” into halting all “pediatric/adolescent transgender hormonal care” in December 2022. More recently, the South Carolina Freedom Caucus teamed up with former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gainesto pressure the GOP-controlled legislature into adopting an amendment to a bill banning so-called “gender affirming care” for minors. The amendment — which more than 60 House Republicans initially voted to scrap — would penalize doctors for providing these destructive procedures to children.

We’re not afraid to call out memberswhen they have bad votes [or] when they engage in crony schemes to try to hide things from voters,” Rep. Adam Morgan said. While Morgan said the South Carolina Freedom Caucus would like to pass legislation banning DEI in higher education and reforming the judiciary during the 2024 session, it’scurrently fighting the legislature’s attempt to appoint James Smith as a judgeon the state’s 5th Judicial Circuit.

Smithwas South Carolina Democrats’ 2018 gubernatorial nominee andis an “advocate” for Planned Parenthood.

Momentum also appearsto be shifting in conservatives’ favor in Wyoming. Last year, the state’s GOP leadership killed various conservative bills, one of which would have instituted school choice. Following pressure from the Wyoming Freedom Caucus (WYFC), the legislature’s establishment members have since introduced measures “during the interim legislative session that look similar to bills the Freedom Caucus proposed last spring that were defeated,” as Cowboy State Daily reported.

WYFC chair and Republican Rep. John Bear, however, told Cowboy State Daily thatseveral of these bills “have been tainted with ‘poison pills,'” and vowed to introduce the original versions of the legislation sponsored by the WYFC last year.

The WYFC helped defeat legislation providingfinancial incentives for Hollywood production companies to film in the state during the 2023 session, as well as an effort to expandMedicaid.

The Path Forward

But the SFCN is just getting started. The organization seeks to expand its operations to other states throughout the country, according to Roth, who indicated thatstates such as Texas, Ohio, and Oklahoma “look good”for forming new caucuses. Other so-called “red” states are proving more challenging, however.

“The tragedy is that there are a lot of states that should have freedom caucuses that are nowhere close,” Roth said. “States like Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky— these are deep red states. … Unfortunately, those states have just been institutionalized by the unipartythat there’s just no real opportunities there.”

Given these circumstances, Roth emphasized theimportance of citizen involvement, specifically highlighting how electing conservative figures and advancing good policy requires ongoing participation from the American people.

The best way people can help move the SFCN’s mission forward is to see “if their state has a freedom caucus, and if it does, then they need … to do everything that they can to support them,” Roth said. “If their state doesn’t have a freedom caucus, then they need to reach out to their state lawmakers and ask them why. Because it’s not us — the suits from D.C. — coming into states and saying, ‘You have to form a freedom caucus.’ We can only work with lawmakers who want to do this.”

Our members are “fighting for what their voters want, and they could get annihilated in the primariesif we don’t do a good enough job of fighting back against [these establishment Republicans] and exposing them,” Roth added.

Harnwell: EU Commission blinks — offers key concessions to assuage farmers’ escalating wrath

9:29

“Sociopathic Overlord” Ursula von der Leyen, president of the EU Commission, offered some important concessions to EU farmers in her attempt to halt an industry-wide defection from the “centre-right” to the “far-right” at the European Parliament elections in June this year.

Having enthusiastically pumped Zelensky for the past two years, it was interesting to note how smoothly she just threw him under the bus as she attempted to save her own political skin.

European farmers demanded a stop on cheap Ukrainian agricultural imports entering the EU — and the “EU Politburo” chief instantly complied.

Eva Vlaardingerbroek

@EvaVlaar

🇳🇱 ELECTION UPDATE:The coalition formation process to form a right-wing government has failed due to a new centrist party(NSC) pulling out over some nonsense excuse about “budgetary concerns”.

Unless a minority coalition gets formed, it seems the VVD (Mark Rutte’s party) will now try to form a coalition with the Green Left andEXCLUDE Geert Wilders’ PVV- even though Wilders won the most votes and is continuing to grow in the polls (1 in 3 Dutch people would now vote for him).

If they succeed to form this hellish neoliberal left-wing coalitionit’s most likely that Frans Timmermans, theEU “climate pope” will become our new Prime Minister- sending us doing the path of national suicide even further. Timmermans is the former Vice President of the European Commission, he’s the man responsible for the EU’s insane #NetZero and #GreenDeal policies, targeting i.a. the #DutchFarmers.

He is also known for saying “Europe will be diverse and diversity is humanity’s destiny” and that there is not going to be “even in the remotes places of this planet a place that won’t see diversity in its future”.

If Timmermans becomes Prime Minister it will be a huge middle finger to The People of The Netherlandswho’ve in massive numbers gone out to vote for change.

Some sort of national revolt will be bound to happen.

As mail-in voting expands, bipartisan bill would require barcodes on ballots

WND News

By Fred Lucas

The Daily Signal

Mail-in ballots would be required to include a barcode when being processed by the Postal Service, as an extra level of election securityunder a measure set to be advanced Tuesday by the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.

Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., announced Friday that his committee would hold a markup on several bills, including this one called the Vote by Mail Tracking Act.

At a time when almost any election bill is highly divisive and mail-in voting has become increasingly contentious, HR 5658 has attracted broad bipartisan support.

As noted in my book “The Myth of Voter Suppression,” mail-in and absentee voting account for the largest number of adjudicated cases of voter fraud, ballot harvesting, and overturned election results.

A December poll conducted by Rasmussen Results, sponsored by the conservative Heartland Institute, found that 1 in 5 voters who voted by mail in 2020 admitted to election fraud of some sort.

Is putting barcodes on mail-in ballots a positive step for election integrity?

The bipartisan support behind mandating barcodes on mail-in ballots doesn’t mean it’s a certainty that the bill will pass. A nearly identical bill was advanced by the committeein 2022, cosponsored by then-ranking member Comer and then-Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y. However, that bill didn’t pass either the House or Senate.

The legislation slated for action Tuesday differs from the earlier version in carving out an exception for overseas military ballots, where absentee ballots often originate by other means than the Postal Service, such as military or international mail.

The bill clarifies that “ballots mailed within the United States for all federal elections be mailed in an envelope with a unique Postal Service barcode that allows the ballot to be tracked in the mail.”

The legislation also requires that the barcode used by election officials meets the Postal Service’s design requirements and standards for mail-processing machines to read, and includes an official election mail logo.

This year’s bill is co-sponsored by Reps. Nancy Mace, R-S.C.; Byron Donalds, R-Fla.; Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., Juan Ciscomani, R-Ariz.; Katie Porter, D-Calif.; Kweisi Mfume, D-Md.; and Gerry Connolly, D-Va.; as well as the District of Columbia’s nonvoting delegate, Eleanor Holmes Norton, a Democrat.

As voting by mail increases, supporters of the bill note that the legislation is at least a step forward to increasing confidence in mail-in ballots. They also say it would require accountability on the part of state and local governments that expand voting by mail.

Republicans who back the measure say they support having a better idea of where mail-in votes originated.

“Americans’ faith in our electoral system is foundational to our democracy and we must do everything possible to restore and maintain confidence in that institution,” Fitzpatrick saidin September when the bill was introduced. “Our bipartisan legislation will ensure that every mail-in ballot is up to [the Postal Service’s] standards, able to be tracked, and marked as official election mail.”

Democrats also voiced support for ensuring that votes will be counted.

“We need to make voting more accessible for the American public,” Connolly said. “As more people choose to vote absentee by mail, this simple measure will ensure all ballots are trackable and every valid vote is counted.”

The National Association of Counties, which represents the jurisdictions that run most elections in America, posted in November that the legislation “would improve efficiency and transparency in order to allow voters to see that their vote is delivered and maintain confidence in our elections.”

(No Vote By Mail Republicans! None, the US Post Office are leftists and the mailmen dump ballotsWTF is wrong with Comer? Send him a message, NO! As usual Congress is ignorant of what “the people” want and don’t want)

Deep-Fake Scammers Steal $25M by Creating Fake Conference Call

'Because the people in the video conference looked like the real people, the informant … made 15 transactions as instructed … [I]t turns out that everyone was fake…'

Posted by. Jacob BrunsFeb 6, 2024

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A Hong Kongcompany lost the equivalent of over $25 million from a sophisticated scam using deep-faketechnology, Ars Techinica reported.

The scammers digital replicated the voice of the company’s chief financial officer’s, along with those of other top level employees, during an online meeting. In it, they issued instructions for an employee to transfer the money 200 million Hong Kong dollars in a series of 15 transactions to five local bank accounts.

All participants in the video chat except the victim appeared to have been digitally created.

According to a police statement, the employee was initially skeptical of the order after receiving email instructions to transfer the money, but she was convinced after the video call that the order was real.

“Police received a report from a staff member of a company on 29 January that her company was deceived of some HK$200m after she received video conference calls from someone posing as senior officers of the company requesting to transfer money to designated bank accounts,” said the statement.

Hong Kong police have declined to release further details at this time, electing to withhold the names of both the victim and the company.

Baron Chan Shun-ching, the acting senior superintendent of Hong Kong’s Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, noted that artificial intelligence was likely used to pull of the heist.

“[The fraudster] invited the informant [clerk] to a video conference that would have many participants,” Chan said, noting that AI likely served to make the voices of the company’s officials sound realistic.

“Because the people in the video conference looked like the real people, the informant … made 15 transactions as instructed,” Chan added. However, “… it turns out that everyone was fake.”

The prevalence and dangers of AI deep-fakes have been of increasing concern to political authorities in recent months.

From Satanists using AI to try to defame Hobby Lobby to the rise of deepfake “sextortion,” it appears that the new technology may make human life as it has been implausible.

Even music superstar Taylor Swift is not immune. Twitter went into lockdown on searches of Swift’s name last week after AI-generated pornographic images of the 34-year-old warbler began to circulate.
