Report: US Military Advisors Deployed to Taiwan-Controlled Islands on China’s Coast
When asked to confirm the deployment to Kinmen, the Pentagon told Antiwar.com it won't comment on military operations in Taiwan
US military advisors have been deployed to Kinmen, a group of small islands that are controlled by Taiwan but located just off the coast of mainland China, Taiwan’s TVBS has reported.
When asked to confirm the highly provocative deployment to Kinmen, the Pentagon said it could not comment. “We don’t have a comment on specific operations, engagements, or training” with Taiwan, Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Marty Meiners told Antiwar.com in an email.
“But I would highlight that our support for, and defense relationship with, Taiwan remains aligned against the current threat posed by the People’s Republic of China. Our commitment to Taiwan is rock-solid,” Meiners said.
The US typically sends special operations forces, such as US Army Green Berets, to act as advisors in Taiwan. The TVBS report said the advisors were sent to Kinmen for “long-term stations” at the Taiwanese military’s “amphibious camps.” Advisors were also sent to Penghu, an archipelago about 30 miles west of the main island of Taiwan.
The report said the deployment fulfilled the US’s 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which called for the US to increase its training of Taiwan’s forces. The 2024 NDAA, which President Biden signed into law in December, required the Pentagon to establish a “comprehensive” training program for the Taiwanese military.
The US has significantly increased its military and diplomatic support for Taiwan in recent years, ratcheting up tensions with China. Last year, the US deployed around 200 troops to Taiwan, marking the largest known US military presence on the island since the US pulled its troops out after Washington severed diplomatic relations with Taipei in 1979.
The US also recently began providing Taiwan with unprecedented military aid. Since 1979, the US has always sold weapons to Taiwan but never financed the purchases or provided arms free of charge until last year.
The new US support for Taiwan is being done in the name of deterrence, but China’s actions and rhetoric have made it clear the US steps are just making war more likely. This reality was put on display in August 2022 when then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) visited Taiwan despite repeated warnings from China. In response, the Chinese military launched its largest-ever military drills around the island.

It will connect India to Europe with maritime links, rail links, energy pipelines, fiber-optic cables.”
He was speaking on the grand stage of the U.N. General Assembly, but no world leaders bothered to attend. Outside, some 2,000 people, a mixture of American Jews and Israeli citizens, protested his attacks on the independence of the Israeli judiciary system. The scene served as a reminder of how deeply unpopular his far-right governing coalition, not to mention Netanyahu himself, had become in Israel. At that moment, it seemed that Netanyahu was pushed against the ropes, in a losing battle to continue his political reign.
Netanyahu is using the horrors of October 7 to wage the crusade he’s been preparing for his entire political career.
Just days later, as Hamas commandos penetrated the barriers encircling Gaza and embarked on their deadly raids targeting several military installations as well as kibbutzim, everything changed in an instant. Everything, that is, except the primary agenda that has been at the center of Netanyahu’s long political career: the absolute destruction of Palestine and its people.
Just as the Bush administration exploited the 9/11 attacks to justify a sweeping war in which it declared the world a battlefield, Netanyahu is using the horrors of October 7 to wage the crusade he’s been preparing for his entire political career. With his grip on power fading last fall, the October 7 attacks provided him with just the opportunity he needed, and he hitched his political survival to the war on Gaza and what could be his last chance to eliminate Israel’s Palestinian problem once and for all.
In that sense, Bibi was saved by Hamas.

1,593 attacks carried out by Israeli occupation, settlers last month in West Bank, occupied Quds
The head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Moayad Shaaban, said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation authorities and Zionist settlers carried out 1,593 attacks during January 2024.
Shaaban explained in the commission’s monthly report on “violations of the occupation and measures of colonial expansion” that the occupation forces carried out 1,407 attacks, while the settlers carried out 186 attacks.
He elaborated that the violations were concentrated in Hebron Governorate, with 291 attacks, followed by Quds Governorate, with 203 attacks, and Nablus Governorate, with 200 attacks.
He added that the settlers’ attacks were concentrated in Hebron Governorate, with 63 attacks, 38 in Nablus, and 23 in Ramallah, the most prominent of which was the shooting of the young man Tawfiq Ajaq in the Eastern Farm.
Shaaban pointed out that the settlers stole 47 heads of livestock, three agricultural tractors, and two tents, while the occupation forces seized 82 vehicles, seven monitoring camera recordings, and 15 bulldozers and trucks, while 19 cases of theft of money and gold jewelry were recorded and 60 heads of livestock were seized.

Moderna CEO brags to WEF attendees about predicting Billion Dollar COVID-19 pandemic
At this year’s annual World Economic Forum (WEF) conference in Davos, Moderna head Stephane Bancel admitted to CNBC that he ordered his staff to start mass producing “vaccines” for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) in late 2019, just a few months before the so-called “virus” even emerged.
After previously claiming that he first heard about covid in January 2020, Bancel now says he knew a coronavirus was on the way and that Moderna needed to start manufacturing injections for the upcoming “billion dollar” pandemic that he somehow knew was coming.
“When the [COVID] pandemic happened, Moderna had made a hundred thousand doses in 2019 for the whole year,” the CEO told the fake financial media outlet.
“And I remember walking after those into the office of my other manufacturing and I say, ‘How we make [sic] a billion dollars next year?’ And they look at me a bit funny and say, ‘What?’ And I say, ‘Yeah, we need to make a billion dollars next year; there’s going to be a pandemic.’”

One could argue, weakly, that Bancel was simply excited about his company producing “life-saving” injections for the world, and that the money was just icing on the cake. But that is not how he worded it to his employees, hence why they looked at him “a bit funny.”
In 2020, Boston Magazine published a much different version of events than what Bancel stated at Davos this year. Back then, Bancel reportedly wrote to National Institutes of Health (NIH) deputy director Barney Graham immediately after he learned about the “viral pneumonia” in China in January 2020.
“If it’s a coronavirus, we know what to do and have proven mRNA is effective,” Graham is said to have told Bancel at the time.
At Davos this year, Bancel admitted that he was eager to rake in a billion dollars quickly and knew that a “pandemic” was soon to arrive that would make that possible. With the help of Donald Trump, Moderna was able to participate in Operation Warp Speed and the rest is history.
Before unleashing its COVID jab, Moderna had never successfully produced even a single drug product. Considering its COVID jab is also a failure, probably by design, Moderna still has yet to successfully produce anything effective or worthwhile.
Even so, the company has generated billions of dollars in profit as the tens of millions of people who took its COVID injection are now sick or dying of vaccine-induced AIDS (VAIDS).

In the comments, someone added that Moderna made its COVID Davos injection in about 48 hours with zero long-term testing, but was still allowed to rush it to market under the guise of a national health emergency, which Trump declared on March 13, 2020, before later launching Operation Warp Speed.
“I will never get a vaccine again,” this person added. “My last vax was 10 years ago, a tetanus shot. The medical establishment has completely broken our trust as they are nothing but shills for Big Pharma.”

Government-Funded Entities Build Network to Flag “Misinformation” In Private Messages
And then use AI to analyze "emerging trends" about this so-called misinformation.
More reports are emerging about the various forms in which the Big Tech/government collusion is taking place in the US.
It’s not just directly pressuring, or “communicating with” – as current White House officials like to put it, social sites; reports are now emerging about companies getting hired to make massive databases of supposedly unlawful speech that are compiled thanks to users effectively spying and reporting on each other on messaging platforms like WhatsApp.
Former State Department official, now executive director of Foundation For Freedom Online, Mike Benz, calls this “a snitch network of citizen informants.” Information thus obtained is then analyzed using some form of AI, resulting in identification of “misinformation trends.”
One of these companies is Algorithmic Transparency Institute. The money comes from firms that receive government funds and congressionally chartered organizations.
The need to resort to “old school” citizen-informant methods arises from the nature of the platforms the government would like to spy on, and get content flagged and eventually censored. It’s the likes of WhatsApp and Telegram, where, due to the nature of (particularly encrypted) private messaging, the now established forms of “monitoring” places like Facebook or YouTube cannot be used.
Critics of this euphemistically (and confusingly) dubbed “civic listening” draw parallels with how authoritarian regimes famously employ(ed) people spying on each other even before the digital age, while some continue to do so.
Now, the spying “format” once used by the likes of Stalin, the Nazis, etc., has reached America. The principle is simple: where the hand (and the ears) of the government can’t reach, private chat apps’ users themselves are encouraged to report on what’s being said.
That flagged “misinformation” data goes into what are by now likely the standard cogs of the censorship machine: creation of databases, “AI” analyses, etc.
Foundation For Freedom Online singles out US-based non-profit Meedan as being “at the forefront of creating this snitch network.”
Things go from bad to worse once it is revealed that the group received $5.7 million as a grant from the US authorities (and taxpayers), specifically, via the National Science Foundation (NSF).
Among the things flagged by some of these “useless (informant) idiots,” as one might call them, are memes, and, “claims.”

Banks warned by Biden Admin that Christians who Buy Bibles are Extremists
An agency of the federal government “flagged” Bible purchases as an indication of “extremism” in communications with banks following the events of January 6, 2021.
“We now know the federal government flagged terms like ‘MAGA’ and ‘TRUMP,’ to financial institutions if Americans completed transactions using those terms,” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-OH, wrote on X. “What was also flagged? If you bought a religious text, like a BIBLE, or shopped at Bass Pro Shop.”
Jordan serves as the chairman of both the House Judiciary Committee and the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
He detailed the Committee and Select Subcommittee’s findings in a January 17 letter to former Director of the Office of Stakeholder Integration and Engagement in the Strategic Operations Division of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) Noah Bishoff.

Australia sets a date to achieve the first goal of The Great Reset – nationwide digital IDs
The Australian government recently announced it has set 1 July as the tentative rollout date for its nationwide digital ID. The exact date will depend on the timing of its legislation which is due to be adopted by the federal parliament.
The UK has made similar plans, which were made public last year in a document titled ‘Enabling the Use of Digital Identities in the UK’.
Ethiopia, Nigeria, China, the European Union and a host of other countries are in the process of digitising their citizenry.
I reported last year that in the US, Senators Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming have introduced Senate Bill 884, which would offer digital identities for all Americans, but thus far the bill has not been advanced through Congress. They are likely waiting for the opportune time, probably after some major cyber-disruptive event like that which was predicted in the Obama-produced movie ‘Leave the World Behind’.
I have also recently reported how Americans are being conditioned at US airports to having their faces scanned, which is part and parcel to having a de facto digital ID.
According to a report by Biometric Update, Australia’s stakeholder-comment period for a sweeping Digital ID Bill came to a close in late January after receiving submissions from business and financial groups as well as civil rights organisations. The government is now consulting with the states, ChannelNews Australia reports.
The Department of Finance told ChannelNews that the new system will allow users to choose their preferred digital ID provider for accessing services from both the government and private sectors.
Private organisations can apply to be accredited as digital ID services from the government’s so-called ‘Trusted Digital Identity Framework’. Among companies that have already received accreditation are Australia Post, MasterCard and OCR Labs. Banks, retailers and other institutions will eventually all be co-opted into this system.
A government spokesperson told ChannelNews: “The legislation will enable the expansion of the Australian Government Digital ID System to include state, territory and private sector organisations that choose to participate.”
The national digital ID will function like an expanded version of MyGovID, which Australians already use to access the Australian Taxation Office, Centrelink (which delivers Social Security payments to Australians) and Medicare.
In other words, whether you need to pay the government or receive payments from the government, you will at some point be locked out of the system if you don’t have a digital ID.

Justice Brett Kavanaugh Delivers Reality Check to Colorado Attorney in Effort to Exclude Trump from Ballot: ‘Trump Has Not Been Charged with an Insurrection’
During the Supreme Court oral arguments for Trump v. Anderson, Justice Brett Kavanaugh delivered a pointed reminder that former President Donald Trump has not been formally charged with insurrection.
Thursday’s proceedings centered on the contested application of the 14th Amendment’s prohibition against insurrectionists holding office, which has been invoked in an attempt to disqualify Trump from the 2024 primary ballot in Colorado.
The Colorado Supreme Court ruled in a 4-3 decision to keep President Trump off the 2024 Primary ballot in the state. The Colorado high court has been the only court to rule this way out of several decisions or dismissals in other states.
The legal theories are based on Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment which states public officials who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the US may be disqualified from public office.
During the proceedings, Justice Kavanaugh directly addressed Colorado attorney Jason Murray, emphasizing the absence of criminal charges against Trump related to insurrection.
Kavanaugh’s remarks shed light on the broader implications of the case, questioning the appropriateness of state-level decisions on matters potentially covered by federal statutes against insurrection. Kavanaugh highlighted existing federal statutes, like Section 2383 of Title 18, which already address the issue of insurrection.
Kavanaugh: “Some of the rhetoric of your position seems to suggest, unless the states can do this, no one can prevent insurrectionists from holding federal office. But obviously, Congress has enacted statutes, including one still in effect, Section 2383 of Title 18. [It] prohibits insurrection – it’s a federal criminal statute. And, if you’re convicted of that you are – it says, ‘shall be disqualified from holding any office.’ And so, there is a federal statute on the books, but President Trump has not been charged with that. So what are we to make of that?
