Tucker Interview with Putin: The first half hour

Putin initially took complete control of this interview - he could have done a briefer history lesson but deliberately chose to string it out, Russian novel style.

Gave him the opportunity to demonstrate both his personal dominance over the interviewer and his political savvy. This is a man who knows the current weakness of US position, didn't need to concede anything to an influential US journalist.

Tucker was forced to listen, whether he liked it or not. Putin is a worthy opponent.

However, noticed he did not mention the Holodomor in his history lesson….

Tucker makes points later but Putin is a hard man to deter…brings the convo back to this agenda: to show that Ukraine was originally part of a unified Russia, going back more than 1000 years.

Stays in control of interview at every turn.

Tucker's outmatched but gamely stays engaged, despite numerous slights by Putin ( like, "oh they didn't let you in" [to CIA])…..

Remarkable to watch.

Should work to Trump's advantage because it demonstrates the kind of leader required to deal with a real leader like Putin, who lives in the real world, not some libtard fantasy.

Libs watching it may vote for Trump out of sheer terror - which would be a damn good idea.

Stalin was always going after some group, any group he thought might have the intelligence and organization to take him down. Went after the engineers in the late 20s and 30s, the independent Ukrainian peasants from 1930, his fellow revolutionaries 1934-1937, and the Russian military elite just before WW2, which interrupted his internal cleanout. Jews were next on the list after the war.
