Imagine a scenario where Dennis Miller completely understands the totality of the situation to such an extent that he hates the way it was approached and would've done it very differently. I know, I know; "every single possible scenarios was gamed out, and this was the least intrusive and lowest lives cost" route. I get it. Agreed, too. I've defended Boss and "the plan" probably more staunchly than most. Always will; still looking for that "break it easy" way of wording it, too.
When Mr. Miller was on Gutfeld!, he insisted that Trump apologize and that would set things right in his mind. He goes into more detail in this interview. But that's also an acknowledgement that nothing's going to change the direction of where things are headed. So while I think Dennis doesn't agree with Boss on a personal level, I don't think he dislikes where things are headed. He hates the "reality show" that's happening, and probably doesn't think it was a necessary part of "the plan".
But I am not Mr. Miller's personal guard, and if the circumstances present themselves appropriately, I'm sure we'll get to hear more of his side of things. It won't be for a while, though. He's going to have to be coaxed out of the pouty-lip. Also think of it this way:
Say you spent the entirety of your life's work poking fun at a machine that you didn't realize was an actual machine that was being steered by a bunch of fucking evil beasts. You search high and low for some sort of "WTAF is going to fix this". When the solution presents itself, it just so happens to be the one person that rubs you so wrong in so many of the right ways you can't see past the person for the plan. That's what you just listened to in that interview.
I think Mr. Miller will come around, but it's going to depend on how far he digs his heels in. I like him, he's a good person (I think), but good people can disagree on shit because perceptions can be blinders just as much as they can be lenses of new vision.
You've got to admit, this crazy ass "let's all return to religion" shit is a bit much, a bit rich, and a little out there; especially when we have space lasers and convertibles circling mars.
