Biden Transferring Student Debt from 153,000 Borrowers, Notifies Them in Emails

More than 150,000 borrowers are receiving emails from President Joe Biden on Wednesday stating that all or part of their “federal student loans will be forgiven” in what is really a transfer of the debt to the American taxpayer.

Politico reported that on Wednesday, the Biden administration was set to blast out emails to some 153,000 loan borrowers, who will see $1.2 billion transferred out of their collective debts under his Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) plan.

In the letter, the politically vulnerable president takes credit for the “forgiveness” in the first sentence.

“Congratulations—all or a portion of your federal student loans will be forgiven because you qualify for early loan forgiveness under my Administration’s SAVE Plan,” the email, published by Politico, reads.

“From day one of my Administration, I vowed to fix student loan programs so higher education can be a ticket to the middle class—not a barrier to opportunity,” the letter states. Biden adds he hopes “this relief gives you a little more breathing room.”

The document includes the phrase “SHARE WHAT THIS RELIEF MEANS TO YOU,” which links to a studentaid.gov page that is not yet accessible.

“The borrowers receiving relief are the first to benefit from a SAVE plan policy that provides debt forgiveness to borrowers who have been in repayment after as little as 10 years and took out $12,000 or less in student loans,” the White House stated in a press release. Per Politico, Biden will speak Wednesday about the move at an event in Los Angeles.

According to Biden’s letter, the Department of Education will inform loan servicers if borrowers are eligible, and after the servicer applies the “forgiveness,” they will announce it to the borrowers.

The Biden administration previously crafted a $430 billion student debt transfer plan, which was ultimately struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court in June 2023, as Breitbart News Senior Editor Joel Pollack reported at the time:

The plan was criticized for attempting to evade Congress’s power to control spending and debts, for prioritizing elite college graduates over working-class Americans who chose not to go to college, and for punishing those who paid off their loans or chose fields of study more likely to lead to finding good jobs.

As NPR notes, the SAVE plan “has become a key vehicle for President Biden” after the high court ruled against his nearly half-a-trillion-dollar debt write-off.

U.S. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona told NPR that he expects the latest move will be challenged in court when asked if it could survive legal challenge:

We’re using the regulatory process, which we believe includes public comment and negotiations with folks that don’t agree with us. So we do believe through this process it can continue, but we recognize that no matter what turn we make, we’re going to have folks challenging it. There are some that benefit from the system the way it was and I expect to hear from them. And, if I don’t hear from them, that means I’m not pushing hard enough

The move comes as Biden trails former President Donald Trump by nearly two percentage points nationally in the RealClearPolling average and as Biden’s approval rating in late January rivaled a historic low, as Breitbart News reported, citing Gallup.

It also comes as Biden has faced intense scrutiny over his age and mental acuity following the release of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s damning reroot on the president’s classified document investigation, in which Hur described Biden’s memory as “significantly limited.”

‘The War On Children’ Filmmaker Robby Starbuck: It Paints a Hard to Ignore Picture About How Evil the War to Sexualize Our Children Really Is

The War on Children, the new documentary from filmmaker Robby Starbuck, explores the many ways in which minors are being targeted for sexualization — by LGBTQ activists who want to push gender transitions on children; by state governments, like California; by the porn industry; and by China’s TikTok, which has become ground zero for trans influencers.

After being released online earlier this week, The War on Children has so far been viewed more than 50 million times.

Robby Starbuck spoke Wednesday to Mike Slater, host of Breitbart News Daily on Sirius XM Patriot 125. Starbuck explained why he and his wife, Landon, felt compelled to make the documentary.

“There was nothing that gave people the whole picture of the war on children from all fronts — whether it be the nonprofits that are really acting as fronts for far-left activist groups, or the government itself, the indoctrination centers we call public schools in many cases, big pharmaceutical companies — you go down the line, entertainment,” he said.

“Every segment of culture is messaging sexuality and sexualization to our kids and indoctrinating them with ideas that try to push us toward a future where they all become fully reliant on the government, or the state replaces the parent in many ways. And so what they’re trying to do is create a generation of compliant and reliable voters who will essentially do whatever the left tells them they must do to continue the support that they’ve grown accustomed to.”

The movie’s most shocking segment deals with a mother, Abigail Martinez, whose daughter Yaeli was taken from her by the state of California to enable the minor to undergo gender reassignment.

Yaeli ultimately committed suicide after changing her mind and wanting to de-transition.

“If people could watch one part of the documentary, that’s the one I would tell people to watch — to understand how far the state is willing to go on this war on children,” Starbuck said.

"I'm an American doctor who went to Gaza. What I saw wasn't war – it was annihilation."

"On one occasion, a handful of children, all about ages 5 to 8, were carried to the emergency room by their parents. All had single sniper shots to the head. None of these children survived."

In late January, I left my home in Virginia, where I work as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon and joined a group of physicians and nurses traveling to Egypt with the humanitarian aid group MedGlobal to volunteer in Gaza.

I have worked in other war zones. But what I witnessed during the next 10 days in Gaza was not war — it was annihilation. At least 28,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s bombardment of Gaza. From Cairo, Egypt’s capital, we drove 12 hours east to the Rafah border. We passed miles of parked humanitarian aid trucks because they weren’t allowed into Gaza. Aside from my team and other envoy members from the United Nations and World Health Organization, there were very few others there.

Entering southern Gaza on Jan. 29, where many have fled from the north, felt like the first pages of a dystopian novel. Our ears were numb with the constant humming of what I was told were the surveillance drones that circled constantly. Our noses were consumed with the stench of 1 million displaced humans living in close proximity without adequate sanitation. Our eyes got lost in the sea of tents. We stayed at a guest house in Rafah. Our first night was cold, and many of us couldn’t sleep. We stood on the balcony listening to the bombs, and seeing the smoke rise from Khan Yunis.

As we approached the European Gaza Hospital the next day, there were rows of tents that lined and blocked the streets. Many Palestinians gravitated toward this and other hospitals hoping it would represent a sanctuary from the violence — they were wrong.

People also spilled into the hospital: living in hallways, stairwell corridors and even storage closets. The once-wide walkways designed by the European Union to accommodate the busy traffic of medical staff, stretchers and equipment were now reduced to a single-file passageway. On either side, blankets hung from the ceiling to cordon off small areas for entire families, offering a sliver of privacy. A hospital designed to accommodate about 300 patients was now struggling to care for more than 1,000 patients and hundreds more seeking refuge.

There were a limited number of local surgeons available. We were told that many had been killed or arrested, their whereabouts or even their existence unknown. Others were trapped in occupied areas in the north or nearby places where it was too risky to travel to the hospital. There was only one local plastic surgeon left and he covered the hospital 24/7. His home had been destroyed, so he lived in the hospital, and was able to stuff all of his personal possessions into two small hand bags. This narrative became all too common among the remaining staff at the hospital. This surgeon was lucky, because his wife and daughter were still alive, although almost everyone else working in the hospital was mourning the loss of their loved ones.

I began work immediately, performing 10 to 12 surgeries a day, working 14 to 16 hours at a time. The operating room would often shake from the incessant bombings, sometimes as frequent as every 30 seconds. We operated in unsterile settings that would’ve been unthinkable in the United States. We had limited access to critical medical equipment: We performed amputations of arms and legs daily, using a Gigli saw, a Civil War-era tool, essentially a segment of barbed wire. Many amputations could’ve been avoided if we’d had access to standard medical equipment. It was a struggle trying to care for all the injured within the constructs of a healthcare system that has utterly collapsed.

I listened to my patients as they whispered their stories to me, as I wheeled them into the operating room for surgery. The majority had been sleeping in their homes when they were bombed. I couldn’t help thinking that the lucky ones died instantaneously, either by the force of the explosion or being buried in the rubble. The survivors faced hours of surgery and multiple trips to the operating room, all while mourning the loss of their children and spouses. Their bodies were filled with shrapnel that had to be surgically pulled out of their flesh, one piece at a time.

Senate OKs bill to make public Jeffrey Epstein grand jury transcripts in Palm Beach County

Legislation designed to release secret transcripts of a 2006 Palm Beach County grand jury that considered charges against Jeffrey Epstein passed the Florida Senate unanimously Wednesday and will be on its way to Gov. Ron DeSantis to sign into law.

The measure, however, will not be necessary when a judge in a Palm Beach Post lawsuit follows a 9-month-old appeals court order to review, redact and release the material. The bill was sponsored by Boca Raton legislators Sen. Tina Polsky and Rep. Peggy Gossett-Seidman at the behest of Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller Joseph Abruzzo after he vigorously opposed The Post's efforts in court.

Abruzzo was on the floor of the Senate when it passed.

“This has been my goal from the beginning, to find a way for the grand jury records to be released so Jeffrey Epstein’s victims and our community can get the answers they deserve,” he said in a press release.

An Overview of Y-Family DNA Polymerases and a Case Study of Human DNA Polymerase η

Y-Family DNA polymerases specialize in translesion synthesis, bypassing damaged bases that would otherwise block the normal progression of replication forks. Y-Family polymerases have unique structural features that allow them to bind damaged DNA and use a modified template base to direct nucleotide incorporation. Each Y-Family polymerase is unique and has different preferences for lesions to bypass and for dNTPs to incorporate. Y-Family polymerases are also characterized by a low catalytic efficiency, a low processivity, and a low fidelity on normal DNA. Recruitment of these specialized polymerases to replication forks is therefore regulated. The catalytic center of the Y-Family polymerases is highly conserved and homologous to that of high-fidelity and high-processivity DNA replicases. In this review, structural differences between Y-Family and A- and B-Family polymerases are compared and correlated with their functional differences. A time-resolved X-ray crystallographic study of the DNA synthesis reaction catalyzed by the Y-Family DNA polymerase human polymerase η revealed transient elements that led to the nucleotidyl-transfer reaction.

Replication of genomic DNA is a prerequisite for cell proliferation. High-fidelity DNA polymerases, regardless of their diversity in amino acid sequence, three-dimensional structure, origin, or complexity of subunit composition, are uniformly accurate and processive, such that up to billions of Watson–Crick (WC) base pairs are copied rapidly with high fidelity.1−3 However, these remarkable high-speed and high-accuracy machines have an Achilles heel that is the intolerance of any alteration in the four normal bases, A, G, T, and C. The presence of a chemically modified DNA base or a DNA strand break could cause stalling or collapse of a replication fork. Because genomic DNA is frequently damaged by environmental toxins, radiation, and endogenous and exogenous metabolites,4 every living organism relies on two general pathways to cope with “road blocks” in DNA replication.5,6 One is to use specialized translesion DNA polymerases to accommodate DNA base lesions and continue DNA synthesis past damaged sites.7−9 Alternatively, a detour by the homologous recombination pathway can avoid troublesome lesion sites and allow replication to proceed.10,11

DNA base lesions cause structural and chemical changes at the site of damage and inevitably hinder normal base pairing and base stacking in the vicinity, hence leading to general instability and distortion of the DNA double helix.12−14 As a result, it is suggested that two different specialized polymerases are required to bypass a lesion in translesion DNA synthesis (TLS).15 The first polymerase accommodates the damaged base and performs nucleotide incorporation directly opposite the lesion; the second polymerase extends the DNA primer beyond the lesion for several base pairs before the damaged DNA can be safely handled by a replicase (defined as a high-fidelity and high-processivity polymerase dedicated to the replication of normal DNA genomes). Y-Family polymerases are generally employed in the first step of TLS. For the second step of TLS, Escherichia coli DNA pol II and eukaryotic pol ζ, both of which belong to the B-Family, have been shown to perform primer extension after a lesion or a mismatched base pair.16−18

Bankruptcy Judge Allows Rudy Giuliani To Appeal $148 Million Defamation Verdict

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane, in his order on Tuesday, specified that such fees and expenses must not be paid from Mr. Giuliani’s current assets.

“Any fees and expenses incurred by the Debtor and his advisors in the Freeman Litigation in connection with any Post-Trial Filings and the Notice of Appeal shall not be paid by, and shall not result in a claim against, the Debtor or his estate,” Judge Lane wrote.

The former New York City mayor filed for bankruptcy protection late last year, one day after he was ordered to immediately pay $148 million to two former Georgia election workers. Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Wandrea Moss, sued him for defamation while he was working as a lawyer for former President Donald Trump.

In early January, Mr. Giuliani asked the New York bankruptcy judge overseeing his case to lift the automatic stay, a legal provision that pauses certain proceedings during bankruptcy, for the “limited purpose” of filing post-judgment motions to modify the judgment.

Judge Lane, from the Southern District of New York, granted the limited relief on Tuesday.

The judge’s order permits Mr. Giuliani to file a notice of appeal and post-trial motions in the Freeman case.

However, Judge Lane stated that the former mayor must obtain the judge’s consent for any external payment of legal fees and expenses, which can’t come from Mr. Giuliani’s current assets.

Furthermore, any parties paying such fees or expenses are prohibited from seeking reimbursement from Mr. Giuliani or his estate until the court approves such payments.

According to the order, Mr. Giuliani is required to provide at least five business days’ notice to the Objecting Parties and the official committee of unsecured creditors before filing any post-trial motions, except for any motions filed on Feb. 20.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the automatic stay is modified solely as set forth above and the Post-Trial Filings shall be adjudicated in the discretion of the District Court. Except with respect to the filing of a Notice of Appeal, any appeal of the Freeman Litigation shall remain subject to the automatic stay,” Judge Lane wrote.

Ms. Freeman and Ms. Moss sued Mr. Giuliani for defamation and emotional distress, alleging he spread false claims about their conduct during the 2020 election.

George Pell’s sexual abuse of boys to be tried in court again as the High Court rejects the Church for Special Leave to Appeal

The Catholic Church’s protection of George Pell is again set to be exposed in the Victorian Supreme Court as the father of a choirboy allegedly sexually abused by Cardinal George Pell has been given the green light to sue the Church after the High Court of Australia refused to hear an appeal by the Church.

It’s a huge win for the little man against the financial might of the Catholic Church and could lead to more lawsuits against the Church.

The Guardian reported on the 8th of February 2024:

Australia’s highest court has rejected the Catholic church’s bid to avoid paying damages to the father of a choirboy allegedly sexually abused by Cardinal George Pell.

The father, who cannot be named, claims he suffered nervous shock after learning of allegations that the cardinal sexually abused his now-deceased son in the mid-1990s.

Cardinal Pell maintained his innocence over the allegations until his death in January 2023, and had five convictions for abusing the man’s son and another boy overturned by the high court in 2020.

The man, known as RWQ for legal reasons, is seeking damages against the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne and Cardinal Pell’s estate in Victoria’s supreme court. (Click here to read more)

For the High Court of Australia to hear an appeal the applicant first has to be granted Special Leave to Appeal and if Special Leave is not granted that means High Court won’t hear your appeal which is what happens in the majority of cases. Below is a screen shot from the High Court of Australia on the 8th of February 2024 showing the Catholic Church being refused Special Leave.

Hundreds of men snared as global paedophile video ring unearthed in Sydney

NSW Police have unearthed an international paedophile ring in which hundreds of men around the world filmed each other watching child abuse material, and they have arrested nine alleged participants from NSW.

In March 2023, the child exploitation internet unit formed Strike Force Packer to investigate a child abuse ring whose members were allegedly hosting and joining video conferences to share child abuse videos.

The NSW online child abuse detectives soon discovered the syndicate’s tentacles spread across Australia – and the world – with hundreds of users in Europe, Asia and the US.

Detective Superintendent Jayne Doherty told this masthead the investigation found “hundreds of people” with a common motive were taking part in the viewing sessions and even exposing themselves during the events.

“They have cameras open … so they can see each other getting pleasure from it. In the general person’s world this is unthinkable, but for these guys it’s the norm,” the state’s top anti-child abuse detective said.

On Tuesday, 40-year-old James Terence Rebbeck, from Leichhardt in Sydney’s inner west, became the ninth NSW person arrested under Strike Force Packer.

On Tuesday, Rebbeck faced Downing Centre Local Court, charged with three counts of using a carriage service to transmit, publish or promote child abuse material, two counts of disseminating bestiality material and one count of using a carriage service to solicit child abuse material.

He appeared from custody via audiovisual link and hung his head as he sat on a chair, saying “yes” as his name was called by Deputy Chief Magistrate Sharon Freund.

Rebbeck asked to be released on bail but the Commonwealth prosecutor told the court there was a very strong case, and Rebbeck had made “admissions” to content found on his electronic devices.

“The full extent of [Rebbeck’s] offending is not known at this stage, but he’s known to other potential witnesses and is at risk of serious reoffending as he referred to himself as a pedo,” the prosecutor told the court.

Bishop charged with historical sex crimes, held in custody

Bishop Christopher Saunders has been arrested overnight.

Bishop Christopher Saunders has been charged with a string of alleged sex offences that date back up to five decades.

The 74-year-old spent the night in custody and will appear in Broome Magistrates Court on Thursday, charged with two counts of sexual penetration without consent, 14 counts of unlawful and indecent assault and three counts of indecently dealing with a child as a person of authority.

The events over which charges have been laid allegedly occurred in Broome and Kununurra, in WA’s north-west, between 2008 and 2013.

His arrest follows several raids on his home by police in recent months, and comes after WA Police received a report from the Vatican detailing allegations of sexual assault and grooming against the cleric.

WA Police previously investigated a member of the Catholic Church brd in the Kimberley between 2018 and 2020, however said at the time there was insufficient evidence to lay criminal charges.

Saunders has always denied any wrongdoing.

He began working in Broome as a deacon in 1975 and became bishop in 1996.

He resigned from his post in 2021.

David Weiss’s Latest Motion Shows He Compromised National Security By Protecting The Bidens

Afederal judge rejected Special Counsel David Weiss’s request that confidential human source Alexander Smirnov remain jailed pending trial on charges that he lied to the FBI. While the special counsel’s office lost its motion to detain Smirnov, Weiss likely viewed the defeat as a public relations victory, given the gratuitous details he included in the memorandum filed with the court.

Weiss would be wrong, however, to consider anything about his office’s prosecution of Smirnov as a win. Rather, Tuesday’s court filing — if accurate — renders Weiss’s incompetence even more consequential.

Last week, news broke that Weiss had charged Smirnov in a two-count indictment with making false statements to the FBI and creating a false and fictitious record. The charges stem from Smirnov’s alleged lies to the FBI in June of 2020 concerning conversations Smirnov claims he had in 2015-2016 and then again in 2017 with various executives of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

Among other things, Smirnov claimed Burisma executives said Hunter and Joe Biden pressured them to pay them $5 million each in bribes to ensure the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office left Burisma untouched. The handler memorialized Smirnov’s reporting in an FD-1023, which Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, later released to the public after whistleblowers suggested the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office had failed to investigate the CHS’s claims.

In indicting Smirnov, Weiss confirmed his office had botched the Hunter Biden investigation by ignoring the FD-1023 for nearly three years — and then only investigating Smirnov’s claims after Grassley made the document public. Specifically, according to Thursday’s indictment, the FBI did not question Smirnov about his reporting until Sept. 27, 2023.

As I wrote at the time, the “timeline confirms the incompetence of Weiss in handling the investigation into Hunter Biden because in October 2020, Weiss’s Delaware office received ‘a substantive briefing’ concerning the FD-1023 from the Pittsburgh U.S. attorney’s office.”

Former Attorney General William Barr had tasked Pittsburgh with screening information related to Ukraine, which agents did with the FD-1023. Among other things, the Pennsylvania-based office obtained travel records of the confidential human source (CHS) and communicated with the CHS’s handler, with the information obtained consistent with Smirnov’s representations in the FD-1023. In screening the material, the U.S. attorney in Pittsburgh, Scott Brady, also vetted the FD-1023 “against known sources of Russian disinformation,” and found no connection. Accordingly, Pittsburgh closed out its screening process and forwarded the material to Delaware, recommending that Weiss’s team investigate the allegations.

U.S. Attorney Weiss’s team must have done nothing further, though, because not only did the FBI only recently question Smirnov, but Smirnov continued to serve as a CHS for the FBI. That later point only became clear Tuesday when the special counsel’s office filed a motion to keep Smirnov detained pending trial.

In Tuesday’s memorandum in support of detention, Weiss argued Smirnov was a flight risk, supporting that argument in part by highlighting Smirnov’s many connections to foreign intelligence services, including individuals in Russian intelligence.

And how do we know about those connections? Because Smirnov reported the contacts to his handler.
