Kek IF I wanted to spend the money on fancy hearing aids I'm sure I could hear better and understand voice just fine. But I'm perfectly happy with my Sumo XP hearing aids that I got in 2003…. first generation digital hearing aids that are basically waterproof. I can hear the damn dog barking and I can hear the TV at the volume that my wife wants to hear it if I pay attention to it…. but I like my world just the way it is…. it doesn't need to be "hearing" to be happy.

They're not over the counter. Look up the specs. These are professional behind the ear hearing aids that I can buy a modern replacement with bluetooth for on eBay for $1000-1500.

I believe that they have 60-70 db of power. My hearing loss is the worst that you can get- severe-profound.

If I bought the same aids from my audiologist she would charge me about $3,000-4000. If I buy them off eBay my audiologist will charge me $250 to program.
