BREAKING: Mike Pence group launches $20 million effort to defeat populism in conservative movement

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Mike Pence's Advancing American Freedom group is in the process of launching a $20 million effort to defeat "unprincipled populism" in the conservative movement."

The American Solutions Project aims to convince those on the right who may have been enticed by populist messages to revert back to true "conservative principles."

"Our nation was founded on conservative principles that have stood the test of time," Pence told RealClearPolitics. "The Constitution and this great American experiment must not be swayed by movements or personalities, but must hold fast to the time-honored principles that have made America strong and prosperous and free."

Without naming names, the former vice president decried the fact that "many in the conservative movement have walked away from these principles, chasing the siren song of populism unmoored to conservative principles."

He promised that his organization would "hold high those principles, staying true to the ideals that have made America the greatest nation on earth," adding that he was sure the American people "will rally to our cause."

The $20 million will go towards expanding Advancing American Freedom's staff, investing in infrastructure, and promoting its work.

A number of prominent figures have joined on, including Heritage Foundation founder and former president Ed Feulner, Catholic University's chairman Victor Smith, and North Carolina retail giant Art Pope.

That Time Judge Engoron Pulled a Fani Willis

Let me pour you some piping hot tea to start your day. The most fascinating little news report has just resurfaced after going unnoticed lo these 22 years.

It seems that a certain New Yorker named Arthur Engoron, then a little remarked upon 50-something law secretary, may have tanked an $11million lawsuit with his unethical dating habits — ultimately forcing the judge who had been presiding in the case to recuse himself.

An ugly divorce boiled over into a defamation suit in Manhattan Supreme Court, with Justice Martin Schoenfeld presiding. But in shades of a Fani Willis-Nathan Wade-style entanglement, Schoenfeld's naughty secretary, Engoron, saw fit to take up with the prosecution's secretary.

The resurfaced report is called "A Judicial Affair" (archived here in case the original gets disappeared by our beneficent tech overlords) and was published by The Jewish Telegraphic Agency in summer of 2002. Let's dig in:

The law secretary of Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Martin Schoenfeld [our hero, Arthur Engoron] may be in hot water for dating the secretary of a plaintiff’s lawyer who had a case pending before the judge. Nathan Lewin, a defense attorney for the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, said the court’s Jan. 23 ruling against his client in several pre-trial decisions is "suspect" because of that relationship, of which he was not informed until late last month.

What is it about prosecuting their enemies that gets leftists so hot and bothered? It's kind of sick, when you think about it. If that little $11 million spat in 2002 got old Arthur so excited, one can only imagine the state in which he's gone about as he levies multi-hundred-million-dollar penalties against the despised Donald Trump.

On second thought, let's not imagine it.

Let's read on:

Lewin is defending the rabbis in an $11 defamation million suit filed by Helen Chayie Sieger of Borough Park, who claims their decision to allow her husband to remarry without requiring him to grant her a rabbinic divorce in effect labeled her an unfit spouse.

Lewin said in court papers that the law secretary, Arthur Engoron, claims he only began dating the secretary of the opposing counsel, Christopher Sullivan, on May 10. But Lewin said Sullivan’s actions in the case may have been "influenced" by information he received from the woman, identified in the papers only as Sue. And Lewin noted that Engoron "was drafting [later] decisions and communicating" with the judge about this case during the time he was dating Sue.

The judge agreed that Engoron's unprofessional behavior had compromised the case:

Schoenfeld, at the request of the defendants, recused himself from the case July 1 after revealing that he had recently learned of the relationship. He said Engoron’s conduct raised ethical questions that he would report to the appropriate authorities, Lewin noted in his papers. Lewin said actions taken in this case may be criminal in nature and asked the court to conduct a full investigation.

One would think that such an unethical indiscretion would scuttle the ambitious 50-something Engoron's fledgling law career, but come on, people — this is New York! Within a year, Engoron had been elevated to the bench. The AP summed up his meteoric rise to the judiciary hero he has become today:

Engoron joined the bench in 2003 as a judge on the New York City Civil Court, which handles small claims and other lesser-stakes lawsuits. In 2013, he was appointed an acting justice of the state’s trial court and ran unopposed for a permanent post in 2015. His term runs until 2029, though New York requires judges at his level retire when they turn 76.

Google Pauses Ultra-Woke Gemini AI Image Generator Following ‘Inaccuracies’ in Historical Photos

Google announced it is pausing its ultra-woke Gemini AI image generator, saying the tool has created historical photos with “inaccuracies.”

“We’re already working to address recent issues with Gemini’s image generation feature. While we do this, we’re going to pause the image generation of people and will re-release an improved version soon,” Google said in a Thursday X/Twitter post.

The tech giant’s statement was an update from its Wednesday announcement, which was, “We’re aware that Gemini is offering inaccuracies in some historical image generation depictions.”

“We’re working to improve these kinds of depictions immediately,” Google added. “Gemini’s AI image generation does generate a wide range of people. And that’s generally a good thing because people around the world use it.”

“But it’s missing the mark here,” the tech giant asserted.

As Breitbart News reported, Google’s Gemini chatbot has been facing backlash for generating politically correct but historically inaccurate images in response to user prompts.

Putin: Moving to Russia Should be Simplified for Anyone Embracing Traditional Values

On Monday, Vladimir Putin participated in the plenary session of the 4th annual forum dubbed "Strong Ideas for a New Time," supported by the autonomous non-profit organization, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects (ASI).

President Putin lauded the concept of the authorities streamlining the process for individuals relocating to Russia who embrace the country's cultural values. However, he emphasized that this should be done on a case-by-case basis, recognizing that there is room for improvement in this area.

Ted Cruz Nails It: Liberal Media Lapdogs 'Turning on' Biden Because They Know He's Going to Lose

The Democrat Party goes to ridiculous lengths to protect its own — until it doesn't. When the Democrats smell blood in the water they throw their embattled colleagues under the bus in a heartbeat.

Minnesota Democrat Sen. Al Franken was a perfect example.

When Franken was first accused by a conservative talk-radio host of forcing an unwanted kiss on her during a 2006 U.S.O. tour, his Senate Democrat colleagues rushed to defend him. Seven more women followed with similar accusations about Franken, and just three weeks after the first accusation, he was toast — and forced to resign.

This brings us to besieged Joe Biden — although not because of his creepy affinity for sniffing women's hair.

The objective among us have been aware of Biden's declining cognitive capacity since at least his infamous 2020 presidential basement campaign. We've also been aware of the so-called "mainstream" media's yeoman's effort to shield Biden's steady decline from the beginning.

In the aftermath of the release of the explosive Hur Report, in which Biden was described as a "sympathetic elderly man with a poor memory," calls for the 81-year-old president to step down, or at least end his reelection bid, have reached fever pitch — not only from Republicans and independents but also from a growing number of Democrats.

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz said this week during the latest episode of his "Verdict with Ted Cruz" podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson that he believes "corporate media" is beginning to turn on Biden because of its increasing realization he'd lose in November against a rematch with Donald Trump.

Cruz succinctly said in a post on X (formerly Twitter):

They are starting to get nervous since they realize that if it is Biden against Trump, Trump is going to win.

New Testimony Reveals an IRS Contractor Stole Much More Than Trump's Tax Returns

In 2019, then IRS contractor Charles Littlejohn stole President Donald Trump's tax returns and illegally leaked them to the media. They were also given to Democratic operatives.

Last month, Littlejohn was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a number of federal crimes.

"Littlejohn accessed tax returns associated with Public Official A (and related individuals and entities) on an IRS database after using broad search parameters designed to conceal the true purpose of his queries. He then uploaded the tax returns to a private website in order to avoid IRS protocols established to detect and prevent large downloads or uploads from IRS devices or systems. Littlejohn then saved the tax returns to multiple personal storage devices, including an iPod, before contacting News Organization 1," the Department of Justice details.

"Between around August 2019 and October 2019, Littlejohn provided News Organization 1 with the tax return information associated with Public Official A. Littlejohn subsequently stole additional tax return information related to Public Official A and provided it to News Organization 1. Beginning in September 2020, News Organization 1 published a series of articles about Public Official A’s tax returns using the tax return information obtained from Littlejohn," DOJ continues.

The IRS Taxpayer Bill of Rights states, "Taxpayers have the right to expect that any information they provide to the IRS will not be disclosed unless authorized by the taxpayer or by law. Taxpayers have the right to expect appropriate action will be taken against employees, return preparers, and others who wrongfully use or disclose taxpayer return information."

But it wasn't just Trump who had his confidential information stolen and published by Littlejohn. In 2020, thousands of taxpayers were victims of his crimes.

“Charles Littlejohn abused his position as a consultant at the Internal Revenue Service by disclosing thousands of Americans’ federal tax returns and other private financial information to news organizations. He violated his responsibility to safeguard the sensitive information that was entrusted to his care, and now he is a convicted felon,” Acting Assistant Attorney General Nicole Argentieri recently said about the case. “Today’s sentence sends a strong message that those who violate laws intended to protect sensitive tax information will face significant punishment.

According to recent testimony by IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel, it was tens-of-thousands of Americans.

There is excellent news for the American industry, economy, and international trade sectors. The discovery of colossal rare earth deposits in Wyoming could essentially restructure the global supply chain of these crucial elements in the near future.

A discovery of 2.34 billion metric tons of rare earth elements (REEs) in a mine outside of Sheridan, Wyoming, has generated great excitement across industries stateside. For one, the reserves are estimated to be bigger than China’s current reserves, implying that this single find could end America’s reliance on Chinese exports if exploited judiciously.

According to available data, the U.S. uses about 8,300 metric tons of these vital elements annually. The Brook Mine in Wyoming is believed to have reserves totaling 1.2 million metric tons, making America the world’s largest processor of some of the most in-demand REEs.

Secondly, the mine is said to be rich in two of the most sought-after rare earth elements - neodymium and praseodymium oxides. Considering that rare earth minerals are crucial to a wide range of industries as varied as computer chips, wind turbines, electric vehicle batteries, specialized glass products, and defense purposes, being self-sufficient could have a consequential impact on the country’s economy.

The reduced reliance on Chinese exports could significantly impact relations with America’s ‘strategic competitor.’ Beijing had begun to use REEs as a pawn in international relations. In 2023, China imposed restrictions on the export of some of the crucial minerals, leaving users scrambling to find alternate sources. President Xi’s quixotic Zero Covid policy and extended lockdowns had exposed how utterly dependent key sectors were on Chinese exports.

World leaders were often forced to walk a tightrope when criticizing Beijing or seeking cooperation on world affairs. China’s hold over rare earth production and processing, and its manufacturing prowess, gave the country an unfair advantage that it sought to exploit by furthering President Xi’s aggressive, dominant agenda.

Biden gives away Commander after dog drew blood with attacks on Secret Service at White House, vacation home: documents

WASHINGTON — President Biden has given first dog Commander to relatives, the White House said Wednesday following revelations of more brutal attacks on Secret Service employees — including a case in which White House tours were suspended to mop up blood from the floor of the East Wing and another attack in which an agent suffered a “severe deep open wound” at Biden’s Delaware vacation home.

Commander’s propensity for biting Secret Service members was first revealed by The Post in July 2023, with internal documents showing at least seven agents were injured — but the president didn’t immediately part with the German shepherd after reportedly claiming that an agent lied about an attack by his prior dog, Major, who also was re-homed after also terrorizing protective agency staff and others.

On July 29, just five days after The Post’s exclusive report on the first dog evoked allegations that the president was creating an unsafe workspace, Commander brutalized an agent at Biden’s Rehoboth Beach getaway, according to new records acquired by journalist John Greenewald through a Freedom of Information Act request.

“As [a] result of the attack [the agent] started to loose [sic] a significant amount of blood from [redacted pronoun] arm. [The agent] remained calm and walked away from the area looking for help. … [The agent] received six (6) stitches in the left hand forearm and antibiotics for the wound.”

Although documents say the agent served out their shift after receiving stitches on site, an email from July 29 said they were “enroute [sic] to the hospital at this time.”

In another newly revealed attack, on June 15, 2023, Commander bit an agent “inside of the Kennedy Garden” adjacent to the East Wing, where the first lady’s office is located, as they were walking to the driveway to help move parked trucks.

“Video of the incident shows [the agent] enter the Kennedy Garden while Commander, who was off the

leash and on the opposite side of the garden at the time, run at a high rate of speed towards [the agent and] jump towards [the agent] and take [them] to the ground,” a report says.

Vancouver hospital asked wrong family whether to pull the plug on patient

he family of a Vancouver man faced a heavy decision after an unexpected phone call in the middle of the night. Their loved one was on life support, hospital staff told them, after a horrible choking incident.

“They said, 'He’s basically brain dead,'” explained Debbie Danielson. “'Do you want us to keep him on life support or do you want to pull the plug?'”

After a brief discussion with her husband, Danielson told the hospital to pull her 60-year-old brother off life support.

“Michael A. Beehler, 60, Vancouver, died August 9, 2021,” read a death notice posted in The Columbian newspaper.

“That whole week was kind of a blur. Trying to come up with funeral arrangements, letting family members know that he passed away,” explained Danielson.

Then came the phone call no one expected. It was her brother, Mike. He wasn’t dead. Instead, he was very much alive.

The medical mix-up started with a 911 call on August 8, 2021. Medics responded to an apartment in Vancouver. Mike Beehler said his roommate choked on a piece of steak at dinner. The man was not breathing and unconscious, according to an emergency dispatch log.

“He fell over a chair,” said Beehler. “I thought he was dead then.”

An ambulance transported the man to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. But, somewhere along the line, the roommate was misidentified, and the hospital incorrectly treated him as Mike Beehler.

“How do you misidentify somebody?” asked Danielson.

His family claims Beehler had previously been treated at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and had medical files on record, which may help explain why the hospital knew to call his sister with dire news.

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center called the county medical examiner’s office to report the death, then sent the misidentified body to the funeral home, according to emails from the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office obtained through a public records request.

The funeral home asked the wrong family about final wishes, cremation and organ donation.

“When we went to the funeral director, I was like, ‘Don’t we need to identify him?’ 'No, we’ll just take it from here,'” recounted Beehler’s brother-in-law, Gary Danielson. All County Cremation and Burial Services declined to comment.

It wasn’t until Beehler made that unexpected call to his sister a week later, concerned because his cell phone account had been shut down, that anyone realized the roommates had been switched at death.

“He’s dead and I’m supposed to be dead. Who knows what’s going on,” explained Beehler.

Biden says today's Republicans are 'worse' than 'real racists' he served with as Senator

During a ritzy fundraising gala in the Bay Area this week also attended by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden claimed that today's Republicans were "worse" than "real racists" he's worked with in the past.

The president even went so far as to suggest that segregationist Strom Thurmond had a better record when it came to race than members of the GOP in 2024.

"I've been a senator since '72," Biden told the audience, per the New York Post. "I've served with real racists. I've served with Strom Thurmond."

"I've served with all these guys that have terrible records on race," he continued, "but guess what? These guys [sitting Republicans] are worse. These guys do not believe in basic democratic principles."

Biden's comments quickly spread across social media, and caught the attention of Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson.

"Outrageous," he wrote in a post on X. "The least popular President to seek re-election is now so desperate and so underwater in the polls he's playing the race card from the bottom of the deck."

"Biden & radical progressive Democrats help cartels flood our country with terrorists & fentanyl, fund Hamas to attack Israel, put boys in girls locker rooms, punish cops over criminals, destroy affordable/reliable energy in the name of “climate,” & divide America by race," Rep. Chip Roy added.

The president has repeatedly attacked the GOP, attempting to paint its MAGA wing as a group of radical, far-right, anti-democratic politicians seeking to do away with Americans' rights. During an event in Beverly Hills earlier in the week, he repeated his line that "This is not your father's Republican Party.

Hillary Clinton warns birth control is ‘next’ after Alabama IVF ruling

Hillary Clinton is warning about the legality of birth control in the wake of a decision by the Alabama Supreme Court that found frozen embryos created through fertility treatments are children under state law.

“They came for abortion first. Now it’s [in vitro fertilization], and next it’ll be birth control,” the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee and secretary of State said in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“The extreme right won’t stop trying to exert government control over our most sacred personal decisions until we codify reproductive freedom as a human right,” Clinton added.

Following the decision by the Alabama Supreme Court, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) health system decided to pause in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. The UAB health system has said it is evaluating the decision but would immediately pause the procedures.

“We are saddened that this will impact our patients’ attempt to have a baby through IVF, but we must evaluate the potential that our patients and our physicians could be prosecuted criminally or face punitive damages for following the standard of care for IVF treatments,” a health system spokesperson said.

The Yellowhammer State’s top court issued the ruling Friday, finding that the state’s Wrongful Death of a Minor Act “applies to all unborn children, regardless of their location.”
