According to Daily Reporter, the 2017 total solar eclipse saw a considerable influx of visitors in areas within the path of totality, and local law enforcement wants to ensure that residents are not caught unprepared.

Anon traveled to the path of totality for the August 21, 2017 total eclipse. Let me tell you that small town Americas was invaded. The numbers were unreal. And afterwards. Interstate 25 south bound out of Wyoming headed back into Denver was a calamity. Imagine driving driving for forty or fifty miles at a crawl and then the sun goes down. Anon was incredibly lucky to find one of the last small town hotel rooms off I-25. And only because anon had the foresight to get off the highway and start looking somewhat earlier then everybody else. Did not make it into Denver until around lunch time the following day. It's no joke. If you live in the path of totality then get everything you need way ahead of time and just stay home.
