I want to remind anons about the importance of linking to the source. Especially in notables. It shouldn’t make notables if there’s no link directly to the source.

Linking a Twitter post of someone talking about the source, is not the source.

That is gossip. It’s just ‘Joe blow whomever’ talking about a news item

Sometimes, in those cases where an anon link is just to the Twitter post, it’s possible for the reader to find the source. But many times it is not and there’s is no link to what Joe blow is referring to.

We have to be clear about the difference between Joe blow on Twitter talking about a news item and the news item. Joe blow’s opinion about the news item is immaterial.
