-there are individuals that are called "enlightened".

-there have always been many of them.

-old paintings show these individuals with head and/or body halos.

-enlightenment is a gradient from the moment it is attained to the moment that human existence ends.

-time dedicated is a variable associated with one's position on the gradient.

-societal development impinges upon this variable.

-there are always individuals that are exceptions.

-those that are near the maximum end of this gradient, historically have been called prophets.

-although there were and are those further along this 'path' than the known prophets.

-differentiation of gifted skill determines those that become popular with populations.

chems (natural or manufactured, drink, smoke, eat)

-temporarily opens the door, rare for sharables to be brought back

-not a path to enlightenment

-a good method to learn that there is "more" to human existence

-not the path of mysteries, but is a road sign

-becoming aware there is more can cause a person to self-initiate / self-start the path
