Kremlin responds to CIA revelations

It’s no secret that the US is training people in Ukraine for subversive work against Russia, Dmitry Peskov has said

The US has long been working in Ukraine to prepare operatives for subversive work against Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday. His comments came after the New York Times claimed the CIA has been actively involved in Ukraine since the 2014 Maidan coup.

“The work of so-called American advisers, most of whom departmentally belonged to the CIA, is well known,” Peskov told TASS when asked to comment on the NYT article published on Sunday.

These people “occupied jobs in the building of the presidential administration of Ukraine… this is not a secret,” the Kremlin spokesman added.

According to Peskov, the CIA andother US agenciesbegan operating in Ukraine long before 2014, actively recruiting people and preparing them for “subversive work against our country.”

In its report, the NYT claimed that the CIA has turned Ukraine into a major asset to spy on Russia since the Maidan coup. It further alleged that the US has funded and organized a network of secret bases throughout Ukraine, making Kiev part of a “secret coalition” against Moscow.

According toNYT journalists, Ukraine currently hosts at least 12 spy bases that actively gather information on Russia, eavesdrop on its military communications, coordinate drone strikes, hack into Russian, Belarusian and Chinese satellites, and manage a network of agents inside Russia itself.

Back in October, the Washington Post also reported that theCIA had invested “tens of millions” of dollars in Ukraine since 2014 to transform Kiev’s spy agencies into “potent allies against Moscow.” The outlet stated that US intelligence services maintain a “significant presence” in Kiev to this day, even as the Ukrainian Security Service has carried out “dozens of assassinations against Russian officials, alleged collaborators, military officers and prominent war supporters,” such as journalist Daria Dugina, who was killed in August 2022.

Moscow, meanwhile, has repeatedly described increased US activity on Ukrainian territory, as well as Kiev’s NATO aspirations, as threats to its national security and one of the key reasons for launching its military operation in February 2022.

Putin insisted on Donbass ceasefire in 2019 – Zelensky

Protecting the region from Kiev’s attacks was one of the key reasons for the Ukraine conflict, according to Moscow

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has acknowledged that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, urged him to stop the hostilities in Donbass in 2019. He added that he had strong concerns at the time that diplomacy would freeze the conflict, but not resolve it.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Zelensky gave an account of his face-to-face meeting with Putin in Paris in December 2019, which took place several months after he was elected.

According to Zelensky, he had a long conversation with Putin, who “constantly raised the issue of ceasefire.” The Ukrainian president said he told the Russian leader that it would not work out in the long run, noting that this turned out to be the case.

He recalled that while talking to Putin, he expressed his doubts about the Minsk agreements – which sought to end the hostilities in Donbass – “because… the withdrawal of troops along the line of contact does not work.”

He claimed that he had shown Putin data which proved that the progress was too little and too slow. “I showed him that we would spend 20 years pulling back troops.”

Zelensky said this means that the Donbass conflict would have remained frozen for many years, adding that he andPutin had been “haggling” for a long time over the issue.

Brokered by Germany and France, the now-defunct 2014 and 2015 Minsk agreements were aimed at halting the hostilities in Donbass and give the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk special status within the Ukrainian state.

The 2019 meeting between Zelensky and Putin took place in the Normandy Format with the participation of the German and French leaders. At the time, the negotiations made some headway, with the sides reaching an agreement on the disengagement of troops in Donbass and prisoner exchanges.

However, Russia accused Ukraine of failing to implement the Minsk agreements, saying this was one of the key reasons for launching the military operation against Kiev. Former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko has admitted that Kiev’s main goal was to use the ceasefire to buy time and “create powerful armed forces,” a position that was later echoed by former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and ex-French President Francois Hollande.

In autumn 2022, several months into the Ukraine conflict, the two Donbass regions and two other former Ukrainian territories voted overwhelmingly to join Russia in referendums.

(Putin had worked with the US, UN, EU since at least 2014 to stop the killing of Donbass people by Neo Nazis. No one listened to Putin or would help him. The Donbass wouldn’t join Ukraine because they believed the Coup got rid of the democratically elected President at the hands of Nuland of State Dept and Obama. Putin worked hard for 8 years to get them to stop killing the Ethnic Russian Ukrainians. The Operation was enacted because Ukraine was planning on blowing up the dissidents areas, all of them once and for all in 2022. They killed more than 14,000 of from 2014-2022. Victoria Nuland has caused millions of deaths around the world)

Abrams tank destroyed in Ukraine conflict (FIRST VIDEO) – media

The Russian military has knocked out one of the US-supplied tanks serving with Kiev’s army, footage circulating online suggests

Moscow’s troops have destroyed the first US-made M1 Abrams main battle tank supplied to Kiev’s forces amid the Ukraine conflict, multiple Russian Telegram channels reported on Monday.

Footage circulating online purports to show the vehicle with a large column of fire rising from its turret. It was reportedly targeted by a FPV suicide drone and sustained at least one hit from a shoulder-mounted anti-tank grenade launcher.

The tank was reportedly hit near the village of Berdychi, located to the northwest of Avdeevka, a key Donbass town recently liberated by Russian forces.

A close-up of the destroyed Abrams taken by a surveillance drone shows the vehicle’s ammunition compartment burned-out, with the engine compartment on fire.

Washington pledged to supply Ukraine with 31 M1 Abrams tanks in January 2022, ahead of Kiev’s long-hyped yet ultimately botched counteroffensive. However, they were fully delivered only by mid-October and have seemingly been kept away from the frontline, being featured only in propaganda videos.

The Ukrainian Abrams have seen actual combat only over the past few days, ending up deployed to the battlefield to bolster Kiev’s effort to stop the westward advance of Russian troops following the fall of Avdeevka, formerly a major Ukrainian stronghold in Donbass and one of the key staging points for indiscriminate artillery and rocket attacks on the city of Donetsk.

Police fire tear gas at protesting farmers in Brussels

The demonstrators converged on EU headquarters where the bloc’s agricultural ministers were meeting on Monday

Police fired tear gas to disperse protesting farmers near the European Council’s main building in Brussels on Monday, according to footage posted on social media.

Farmers angry at what they perceive as excessive bureaucracy and competition from cheap Ukrainian grain imports tried to break through police barriers as they surrounded the EU headquarters and demanded more support from the bloc.

The authorities reportedlycounted more than 300 tractors in the streets of Brussels, with many parked a few hundred meters from the cordoned-off area where the ministers were meeting. According to videos that have been emerging, thefarmers set fire to piles of tires and hay bales strewn across the Rue de la Loi, a four-lane highwaythat runs parallel to the European Council’s headquarters. The demonstrators also sprayed baton-wielding police officers with manure from a truck that had blockaded a road in the city. Water cannons were deployed to put out the flames.

“There is indeed an ongoing intervention on Rue de la Loi, at Rue du Taciturne, where farmers have set fire to tires. Two sprinklers are on site to try to extinguish the fire,”Brussels police said in a statement as quoted by The Telegraph. Officers reportedly closed access to Schuman Square and a nearby metro station.

The protest came as EU agriculture ministers were meeting to debate new proposals to ease the pressure on farmers, including a reduction in farm inspections and possible exemptions for small farms from certain environmental standards. This was the second major protest by farmers in Brussels in recent weeks.

“There is a clear problem with the reduction of the import tariffs for Ukraine and massive imports of grain and poultry which depresses the prices,” secretary general of the Federation of Young Farmers Guillaume Van Binst said, as quoted by Bloomberg. “The measures proposed by the commission are very weak and it is more passing the hot potato to member states,” he noted.

The EU has been trying to contain the farmer protests that have broken out across the continent, including in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, and Spain. Angry farmers have been complaining about bureaucratic hurdles, trade deals, and climate-related rules and alsoargue that countries such as Ukraine don’t have to abide by EU regulations and taxes, meaning their products are cheaper and possess an unfair advantage=. Several EU ministers plan to meet with representatives of the farmers later on Monday.

(The EU experiment is falling apart and coming to an end.)

Start of special military op spelled end to Western global dominance, Borrell admits

The top EU diplomat emphasized that many countries in the global South accuse the West of "double standards"

BRUSSELS, February 26. /TASS/. The era of the West’s global dominance finally came to an end with the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine and the conflict in the Gaza Strip, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell wrote on his blog.

"If the current global geopolitical tensions continue to evolve in the direction of ‘the West against the Rest,’ Europe’s future risks to be bleak. The era of Western dominance has indeed definitively ended. While this has been theoretically understood, we have not always drawn all practical conclusions from this new reality," Borrell wrote. According to him, the special military operation in Ukraine and the Gaza conflict have "significantly increased this risk"of a confrontationbetween the Global West and the Global South, which can already be "seen in the Sahel and elsewhere in Africa."

He emphasized that many countries in the global South accuse the West of "double standards." Borrell considers this fact unfair and blames Russia and its propaganda for this.(They will never learn that their actions alone has created the division, not Russia)

"Russia has managed to take advantage of the situation," he believes. "We need to push back on this narrative but also to address this issue not only with words:in the coming months, we must make a massive effort to win back the trust of our partners (primarily countries that were European colonial possessions in Africa - TASS)," he added.(It won’t work)

In his blog on the outcome of the Munich Security Conference, Borrell once again rebuked EU countries and the United States for not heeding his warnings two years before the conflict in Ukraine about the rapidly growing security threats to the West. He once again urged Western countries to arm themselves and supply as many weapons as possible to Kiev to try to regain their global dominance.

(The EU should stop taking otders from Bidan, he is to blame for all the stupid moves that have destroyed their economies, and the people are revolting. The NWO is dying an ugly death.)

IDF presents evacuation plan from combat zone in Gaza Strip

Additionally, the cabinet approved the provision of humanitarian aid to the embattled enclave "in a way that will prevent the looting that occurred in the north of the Gaza Strip and other areas"

TEL AVIV, February 26. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has presented to the war cabinet a plan for the evacuation of Palestinian civilians from combat zones in the Gaza Strip, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

The army "presented the war cabinet with a plan for evacuating the population from the areas of fighting in the Gaza Strip, with the upcoming operational plan," it said in a statement. Additionally, the cabinet approved the provision of humanitarian aid to the embattled enclave"in a way that will prevent the looting that occurred in the north of the Gaza Strip and other areas," the prime minister’s office said.

On February 24, Netanyahu said that he will discuss with the government the plan of action in the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip, including the evacuation of civilians from the city.

On February 9, Netanyahu instructed the country’s military to work out a plan to evacuate civilians from Rafah on the Gaza Strip's border with Egypt and exterminate Hamas battalions still entrenched in the city.

Hamas described its attack as a response to the aggressive actions of Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City. In response, Israel has declared a state of war readiness; announced a total blockade of the Gaza Strip, home to 2.3 million Palestinians; and began delivering air strikes on the enclave and certain parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are underway in the West Bank as well.

Biden butchers line from Lincoln’s inaugural address after saying ‘I want to make sure I get this quote exactly right’

Melissa Koenig Feb. 26, 2024,

President Biden butchered one of Abraham Lincoln’s most famous lines while speaking to the nation’s governors over the weekend — after saying “I want to make sure I get this quote exactly right.”

The 81-year-old president read from a notecard at the Governor’s Ball Dinner on Saturday, which apparently contained a quotation from Lincoln’s inaugural address.

“Standing here in front of this portrait of the man behind me, I want to make sure I get this quote exactly right,” Biden began, standing in front of a painting of the 16th president.

He said, ‘We — the better angels,” he said, ‘We must address the counsel — and adjust to the better angels of our nature.’”

“And we do the — and we do well to remember what else he said. He said, ‘We’re not enemies, but friends.’

“This is in the middle of — this is in the — in the part of the Civil War,” Biden continued.

“He said: ‘We’re not enemies, but [we’re] friends, we must not be enemies.”

It appears Biden was trying to quote from Lincoln’s first inaugural address in March 1861, in which he famously said: “We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies.

“Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection,” Lincoln told the divided nation.

“The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to everly living heart and healthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched — as surely they will be — by the better angels of our nature.”

Lincoln gave that speech in March 1861 — more than one month before Confederate troops fired on Fort Sumter, officially starting the Civil War — and not in the middle of the war, as Biden suggested.

Following his latest gaffe on Saturday, the president made a joke about his age — but made no reference to the apparent blunder.

“Folks — and I’ve been around,”Biden told the nation’s governors.

“I know I don’t look it. I’ve been around a long while, though,” he joked.

“And I mean this sincerely, we’ve gotten — politics has gotten too bitter — Democrats and Republicans.

“Politics has gotten too personally [sic], and it just is – it’s just not like it was,” he said.

Biden’s latest gaffe comes as some within the Democratic Party express concerns over his use of notecards to talk to supporters at private fundraisers.

Some donors were even said to have come away from fundraisers alarmed that Biden appears to cling to written notes to speak on matters of policy he should be intimately familiar with.
