For the last 22 years, I have only slept an hour or so, most days. I've discovered the resting breath for the most part and how to maintain awareness even while sleeping, for the most part. For example, have a sick dog the suffocates on his own vomit every few weeks. In 5 years I have saved him at least 80 - 100 times even when he is not by a wall to make a thumping noise, just spinning in the center of the room on his back unable to cry out.
