Anybody have recommendation on email provider?

I want to get off gmail… I was testing out msgsafe.io but they up and suddenly are closing shop.

Protonmail is EVERYWHERE… but is also in Switzerland, has associations to CERN, and has advertised endorsements by @jack, mark ruffalo and Forbes etc… so makes me want to run in the other direction…

Or do I just sigh and stay with the devil I know? My account gets spammed to death and you literally can't keep up with it.
