Same here, literally have my pick of probably 20 local farms with stands, some of them dont even have anyone present, just a cash bucket, pay what you think is fair and leave. I always pay approx what I would at other stands or sales at local grocers. Also have a 30x30 raised garden bed, starting to produce so much I have to start canning again. If you can't sustain how you want to live, to the OP, then move. Go breathe fresh air, pay less for food, housing, taxes, etc etc. And do all of that while as relaxed as on vacation with no traffic, no jerkoff people, no sirens, less crime, republican/conservative friends, and learn to do things yourself, the american way. Be your own mechanic, be your own food producer, be your own water supplier, be your own whatever your heart desires. I grew up in the sticks, moved to city area, after 2 years hated it so much I moved back to less money, and literally have never been happier.
