Jews seem to get upset if you say that Jews are wealthy.

That is a big thorn in their side that they are wealthy.

They get all offended if you dare to suggest that they are wealthy.

I was in a college class one time and for some reason, I don't know why, the teacher said something about Jews. I don't know if she was Jewish or what. But I said that I never heard of a poor Jew. Well it turned out there was an older woman in the class who happened to be Jewish, and her friends accosted me the next day to tell me how offended this Jewish woman was that I dared to say that I had never heard of a poor Jew. And I found out later that this old Jewish woman in my class just so happened to live in a ritzy neighborhood.

Look

I didn't mean to offend anyone by saying that I had never heard of a poor Jew.

She took offense to it.

And made a point of telling her friends that she was offended.

And her friends made a point of telling me that she was offended.

I was only in my 20s and I really didn't know any Jews who were poor.

My dad worked with a lot of Jews and all of them, and I mean ALL of them, were very rich.

I honestly did not know any poor Jews.

good to know

I've probably been using "use" and "used" wrong for a long time.

I guess I never really thought about it.

I used to say used instead of use.

Did I do that right?

I think I'm still confused.
