As the founders wrote, the Constitution is wholly inadequate to an immoral people. At the time of adoption, the general character of the general public was vastly more interested in basic decency. In the past hundred years (and specifically the past fifty) the demoralization especially upon children in public school, has far exceeded the best hopes of the ‘communist’ subversion infiltration… the demoralization (for a substantial % of the public) is complete and can not be reversed for many/most of them.
We are in a very very serious pinch.
