As The FT reports, German chancellor Olaf Scholz has promised a full investigation after Russia published a recording of a phone call between senior German air force officers in which they appeared to discuss supplying missiles to Ukraine.

Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting with Pope Francis in Rome, Scholz described the incident as a “very serious affair”.

“It will be investigated very carefully, intensively and quickly,” he said.

“It is also necessary to do so.”

Politicians from parties in Scholz’s coalition expressed concern that Russia may have eavesdropped on other sensitive conversations, and that government communications may no longer be adequately protected.

The German defence ministry said:

“According to our assessment, a Luftwaffe conversation was tapped. We cannot say for sure whether changes were made to the recorded or transcribed version that is circulating on social media.”

Konstantin von Notz, a senior Green MP, said it must be swiftly established if the “eavesdropping scandal is a one-time event or a structural problem”.

Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, head of the Bundestag defence committee, told the news agency RND that the Russians were trying to scare Scholz off from allowing the delivery of Taurus missiles.

Israel Unveils New West Bank Settlement Expansion In Defiance Of White House

Israel approved the building of 3,600 Israeli homes in a new West Bank settlement. The announcement came just days after Secretary of State Antony Blinken declared the settlements were inconsistent with international law. Tel Aviv routinely ignores Washington’s requests to curtail its oppressive treatment of Palestinians without an impact on the billions in aid the US provides to Israel each year.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich approved the new Jewish homes on Palestinian land south of Jerusalem on Tuesday. “We will continue the momentum of settlement throughout the country,” he said. Smotrich has denied the existence of the Palestinian people and called for the segregation of maternity wards.

The approval of the settlement is a snub to the White House, as last week Blinken reinstated a pre-Donald Trump policy of viewing Israeli settlements in the West Bank as inconsistent with international law.

“Our administration maintains a firm opposition to settlement expansion, and in our judgment this only weakens, doesn’t strengthen Israel’s security,” the diplomat said. Blinken added that the settlements were “inconsistent with international law “and “counterproductive to reaching enduring peace.”

In addition to building new Jewish homes, Tel Aviv has also been destroying Palestinian homes. Israel has destroyed nearly 100 Palestinian homes since October 7—Tel Aviv bills Palestinians for the cost of destroying their homes.

Last week, Smotrich explained the policy was to punish the Palestinians, “Our enemies should know that any harm to us will lead to more construction and more development and more of our hold all over the country.” Collective punishment, settlement building, and military occupation are all violations of international law.

President Joe Biden, who claims his foreign policy is centered on respect for the liberal international order, has still refused to curtail US support for Israel or even condemn Tel Aviv’s many flagrant violations of humanitarian law. Secretary of State Lloyd Austin told Congress that the US has shipped Israel over 20,000 bombs since October 7.

World Youth Festival is opportunity to ‘innovate together’ – UN youth MP

The ongoing World Youth Festival (WYF 2024) in Russia is a platform for like-minded people from all over the world to come together and share insights and experience, Richard Mensah from the UN Youth Association in Ghana told RT on Sunday.

According to Mensah, who is also a volunteer and community development activist in his home country, the forum allows participants to build lasting connections with various youth groups and join forces in solving pressing problems, both within their communities and on a global scale.

“My goal is to transform the youth in my society, the youth in Ghana. This [festival] is an opportunity to network with people from across the world, spearheading the objectives in the same field so we can draw conclusions, solve pressing problems together – so when I go back home, I can also team up with my people, with colleagues from across the world to help us innovate together,” Mensah stated.

The WYF 2024 kicked off in the city of Sochi in Russia’s southern Krasnodar Region on Friday, and the main program will run through March 7. The event brings together some 20,000 young experts in various fields, from education and science to business and media from over 180 countries to discuss the most pressing international problems and developments. This year’s event also welcomes people aged 14 to 17 for the first time as part of a specially designated children’s program, ‘Together into the Future’.

The festival’s program features over 800 educational, cultural, scientific, and sporting events. The main event in Sochi will be followed by a regional program that will run until March 17 and see 2,000 foreign participants of the festival travel to 30 Russian cities for cultural exchange purposes.

They are equally desperate to pretend that their violence is somehow justified, when actually these groups are two sides of the same extremist coin. Both want to set Britain against Britain, to weaponize the evils of anti Semitism and anti muslim hatred for their own ends. The faith of Islam peacefully practiced by millions of our fellow citizens is emphatically not the same thing as the extremist political ideology of Islamism, which aims to separate Muslims from the rest of society. They want us to doubt ourselves, to doubt each other, to doubt our country’s history and achievements. New York Governor Kathy Hochul Now Pushing to Allow Illegal Immigrants to Take Government Jobs

New York Governor Kathy Hochul now wants to allow illegal border crossers to take state jobs. For weeks, she has been pushing to fast track work programs for illegals and now she wants them working in government jobs.

Does this mean that illegals would get the cushy benefits that come with such jobs? Will they be eligible for pensions? Will they join public sector unions and join strikes demanding more money? Does anyone in New York see the brutal irony in this?

New York would be the first state in the nation to make it easier for asylum-seekers with work authorization to obtain government jobs. Hochul told Politico that she is “anxious to get this moving quickly.”

The Democrat’s administration is easing requirements for such jobs as, English language proficiency, education qualifications, and certification for more than 4,000 state government jobs. The long-standing requirement of needing to take the civil service exam and have a high school diploma for applicants to be considered has also been eliminated.

The goal of the proposal is to get illegal aliens into state jobs faster once they get approved work permits.

This is insane and an insult to American citizens.

CVS, Walgreens to Dispense Abortion Pill Mifepristone.

Two of the largest drugstore chains in the U.S. have announced their plans to dispense mifepristone — an abortion pill — in select states within weeks. CVS Health will begin providing the abortifacient at their pharmacies in Rhode Island and neighboring Massachusetts, with Walgreens rolling out its dispensing services in specific locations in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California, and Illinois.

A spokesman for Walgreens said the decision to make mifepristone available in only a few states was to “ensure quality, safety, and privacy for our patients, providers, and team members.” A spokeswoman for CVS Health said the drug would be made available in additional states “where allowed by law, on a rolling basis.”

Partner of Fani Willis’s Deputy Jeff DiSantis Works with Biden 2024 Campaign

Chris Huttman, the business partner of Fulton County’s Deputy District Attorney Jeff DiSantis, works with President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, financial disclosures reviewed by Breitbart News show.

Huttman’s connection with DiSantis is significant because sources with direct knowledge of Fulton County’s office exclusively told Breitbart News that DiSantis is a Biden plant inside the office to target former President Donald Trump.

Huttman is the “head media buyer and strategist” at “Media Buying and Analytics, LLC,” according to multiple press reports and a candidate advertisement agreement signed in 2023 with the Biden campaign.

Media Buying and Analytics is the top vendor for Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign.

The entity raked in $8,687,624 during the 2024 cycle.

Huttman’s history with Biden goes back to the 2020 cycle, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Media Buying and Analytics earned $1.2 million from the Biden campaign in 2020.

Open Secrets ranked the entity as the top Biden campaign vendor during the 2020 cycle.

Media Buying and Analytics, LLC does not have a large online footprint, but Huttman’s partnership bio with DiSantis describes him as a “media buyer and analyst he has extensive experience using polling and historical election data and has directly placed or assisted with over $100m in media spending.” It also says Huttman worked with the 2008 Obama campaign in Georgia to target the black vote.

The link between DiSantis, Huttman, and Biden is the second uncovered in recent days. Breitbart News exclusively reported Thursday that DiSantis and Huttman founded a political consulting company, “20/20 Insights, LLC,” which received four payments totaling $131,335 from a former Biden White House aide who worked with local elected officials.

DiSantis and Huttman founded 20/20 Insights, LLC in 2010. DiSantis was the registered agent for the company until February 2024. On February 2, 2024, the company replaced his name as the registered agent with Huttman.

The timing of the change is suspicious. 20/20 Insights, LLC replaced DiSantis as the registered agent just weeks before Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis testified about her affair with fellow Trump prosecutor, Nathan Wade, and two days after a court filing alleging Willis’s romantic relationship with Wade.

A top constitutional lawyer warned that the federal government’s Online Harms Act to further regulate the internet will allow a new digital safety commission to conduct “secret commission hearings” against those found to have violated the new law, raising “serious concerns for the freedom of expression” of Canadians online.

Marty Moore, who serves as the litigation director for the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms-funded Charter Advocates Canada, told LifeSiteNews on Tuesday that Bill C-63 will allow for the “creation of a new government agency with a broad mandate to promote ‘online safety’ and target ‘harmful content.’”

“The use of the term ‘safety’ is misleading, when the government through Bill C-63 is clearly seeking to censor expression simply based on its content, and not on its actual effect,” he told LifeSiteNews.

Moore noted that the bill will also “open doors for government regulation to target undefined psychological harm.”

The new government bill was introduced Monday by Justice Minister Arif Virani in the House of Commons and passed its first reading.

Bill C-63 will create the Online Harms Act and modify existing laws, amending the Criminal Code as well as the Canadian Human Rights Act, in what the Liberals under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claim will target certain cases of internet content removal, notably those involving child sexual abuse and pornography.

Details of the new legislation to regulate the internet show the bill could lead to more people jailed for life for “hate crimes” or fined $50,000 and jailed for posts that the government defines as “hate speech” based on gender, race, or other categories.

The bill calls for the ombudsperson, and the digital safety office.

The “digital ombudsmen” will be responsible for monitoring online behavior and holding people “accountable.” Gee, what could go wrong? The Lifesite piece goes on:
