JACK POSOBIEC and MIKE BENZ: When the dust settles, Ukraine will be 'the largest operation in CIA history'

by: Jessica Barshis 02/29/2024

Jack Posobiec hosted guest Mike Benz on Human Events Daily Thursday to hear his take on the New York Times article that detailed the CIA's involvement in Ukraine prior to the Russia invasion, which Benz said will reveal itself to be "the largest operation in CIA history."

The pair unpacked the reasoning behind the New York Times releasing their story which essentially agreed with what conservative commentators such as Posobiec have been saying since the war began.

"This is actually such a shocking moment in American journalist history," Benz stated. "These are highly highly, highly classified operations."

He said that "It's my contention that when the dust settles on this, the Ukraine skirmish in the aftermath of the 2014 Maidan coup is going to ultimately be the largest operation in CIA history."

Compared to the CIA's Syrian operation under Barack Obama, which was revealed to be the most expensive operation up to this point, Ukraine will blow it out of the water once all said and done, Benz said.

Posobiec clarified that Benz was implying the NYT article was a "limited hangout" when "an operation becomes so compromised, or public knowledge or public interest becomes so obvious around something," that the CIA begins to unveil pieces of the big picture, like an "onion."

When the US involved itself in Ukraine in the Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John Brennan era, "We were riding high and riding dirty. And that's what this was, we thought we were unstoppable and we could just coup anyone we wanted, there'd never be any repercussions, and no one would ever stand up for themselves, and Russia would never actually backstop it," Benz said.

This, however, was a "serious miscalculation."

"And when it turned out that their own population didn't support these dirty tricks, either in the form of the rise of a populace presidential candidate like Donald Trump who was running on putting America first in domestic priorities over foreign policy," he explained, "then all hell broke loose."

Must absolutely listen Mike Benz and Poso explains why CIA came out to NYT to get funding from the US for Ukraine. Actually its for the 12 CIA bases in Ukraine for persistent attack on Russia. Mike Benz is brilliant how he can link all of these disparate things together.

I learned more than I’ve ever known

Russia fully aware of NATO activity in Ukraine — Lavrov on leaked German military talk

"Our NATO colleagues have been absolutely caught red-handed," the top Russian diplomat noted

ANTALYA, March 1. /TASS/. A published conversation between German Bundeswehr officers is astonishing but Russia has been completely certain about NATO military activities in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

"You know, of course, on the one hand, it is astonishing, yet it is not on the other. I have already mentioned in my previous answers that we are completely certain of the participation of NATO servicemen, sometimes disguised as mercenaries, or otherwise as some people who do not belong to the armed forces of NATO countries," he said.

"Our NATO colleagues have been absolutely caught red-handed. I don’t know how they will explain this to their people," the top Russian diplomat added.

A transcript of the audio was posted by RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan on her page on the VK social network. In the conversation, the four senior officers, identified as Bundeswehr (Armed Forces) Brigadier General Frank Grafe, Air Force Command department head for operations and exercises; German Air Force Inspector Ingo Gerhartz; and two Space Command officers with the surnames Fenske and Frostedt, discussed instructions from German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius to work on the delivery of Taurus missiles to Ukraine. The military leaders said the weapons could be handed over in two tranches of 50 units each.

"The [Crimean] bridge in the east is hard to hit, as that’s quite a narrow target, but the Taurus can do that, and it can also hit ammo depots," Frostedt said. Gerhartz echoed the latter’s suggestion, saying that "there is an opinion that the Taurus will handle that (hit the Crimean Bridge - TASS) if the French Dassault Rafale fighter jet is used."

Earlier, Simonyan said that on the very day that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz gave assurances that NATO was not now and would not in the future be directly involved in the Ukraine conflict, Germany’s top brass was in fact mulling how to carry out a potential attack on the Crimean Bridge in a way that would have no repercussions for Berlin by giving it the cover of plausible deniability. Simonyan said she had a corroborating audio recording of the Bundeswehr officers’ conversation in her possession, but did not release it.

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the Kremlin was not yet aware of the contents of the leaked conversation. The issue will be reviewed at the next session of the Russian State Duma, or lower house of parliament, Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said on his Telegram channel.

Secretary of State Caught Using AI to Flag Accurate Vote-Fraud Stories as ‘Misinformation’

'The First Amendment doesn't permit the government to dictate truth and squash dissent…'

(TJ Martinell, The Center Square)An artificial intelligence company working on behalf of Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs’s office to track election and voter “misinformation” flagged factually accurate stories on noncitizens voting that were published by the Center Square.

While the reports from the AI company claimed the stories could undermine confidence in the state’s election process, the Center Square’s review of the stories were based on internal government documents and emails obtained through public-records requests.

Last year, the SOS signed a contract with U.K.-based AI company Logically to search online contenton various social media platforms, including Twitter, for “harmful narratives” regarding Washington’s elections or voting.

The company was also tasked with generating reports to be sent toSOS for review highlighting “Emerging Narratives”related to Washington’s elections or voting.

According to SOS, “The criteria for these searches was specified by OSOS staff and is nonpartisan.”

In June and July, Logically generated reports on two separate stories published by the Center Square, which obtained the reports:

The first report claimed that the first story pushed the narrative that “no government agency in Washington State has the mandate or authority to verify citizenship of registered voters and some users claimed it represents intentional negligence by Washington authorities to enable voter fraud. Users claimed that this leads to foreign nationals regularly voting in Washington’s elections.”

The report warned that the story could “motivate individuals to call for stricter voter registration laws and more oversight of the process.”

The second report claimed that a story on a foreign national avoiding prosecution after voting 28 times meant “that Washington’s elections were not secure and should not be trusted, and they noted that the sheriff’s office declined to prosecute the foreign nationals.”

Though the report included screenshots of online users making such comments along with posts of the Center Square stories, the report also included social media posts simply linking to the story itself without additional commentary.

The report further warned that the Center Square story could “increase claims of voter fraud and motivate individuals to call on election officials to implement citizenship verification procedures for voter registration in Washington State.”

When The Center Square reached out to the SOS inquiring which state agency verifies citizenship of registered voters, Deputy Director of External Affairs Derrick Nunnally wrote that “voters are required to affirm eligibility when they register (on paper, in person, or online) and with their signature each time they cast a ballot.”

Nunnally claimed that the state imposed tough consequences on those who violated the law and that the rolls were regularly updated using national databases like the Electronic Registration Information Center.

“Non-citizens who attempt to participate in elections can be subject to prosecution, deportation, and/or potential loss of a path to citizenship,” he claimed. “Washington has 4.8 million active voter registrations, which are regularly verified using ERIC and other state and federal data sources.”…

The SOS did not directly respond to questions regarding actions taken by the SOS to ensure non-citizens do not vote in elections and the coming primary.

Nunnally also stated that the Logically AI reports sent to the SOS were used “to formulate the office’s social media posts and other messaging”rather than to pressure companies like Twitter to shadow-ban the offending outlets.

“Neither Logically AI nor the Office of Secretary of State has used these reports to seek censorship, categorize specific social media users, or request action against any social media user,” he claimed.

Twitter, Facebook and other outlets long denied such censorship practices in the leadup to the 2020 election, although it was later revealed through internal communications exposed by the Twitter Files and elsewhere that the companies were colluding with deep-state intelligence agencies to do just that.

Whether Washington State’s office is doing it or not, the misuse of AI in such a way raises concerns about leftist censorship efforts on a larger scale. The U.S. State Department, for instance, was revealed in a recent lawsuit to be colluding with private activist groups such as the Global Disinformation Index and NewsGuardto establish a de-facto blacklist of mostly conservative outlets who promoted information that they deemed problematic.

When contacted by the Center Square about the SOS program,Aaron Terr, director of public advocacy at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, wrote that they were “concerned about how government efforts to combat misinformation can give rise to censorship.”

The actions being taken by the Washington State officials suggested, at best, that they were going down a slippery slope that violated the spirit of the First Amendment.

“Government monitoring of publicly accessible social media posts for alleged misinformation doesn’t in itself violate the First Amendment, even if it gives off a creepy authoritarian vibe,” Terr wrote.

“But First Amendment issues could arise depending on what the government does with that information,” he added. “We’ve seen, for example, how White House officials have unlawfully coerced social media platforms to remove or downgrade content related to controversial topics like COVID-19 and election fraud.”

Terr suggested that additional transparency and accountability on the part of Hobbs’s officeand others attempting to use this technology would help to reassure free-speech watchdogs and members of the public that they were acting in good faith.

If “government officials are only trying to understand prevailing narratives about an issue so they can respond with their own speech, that’s less concerning,” he said.

“But the government should always be fully transparent about its actions and careful not to do or say anything to suggest citizens will face repercussions for constitutionally protected speech, even if officials deem that speech false or misleading,” he added. “The First Amendment doesn’t permit the government to dictate truth and squash dissent.”

JUST IN: Supreme Court Sets Unusual Opinion Release For Monday Morning – Signals Ruling on Trump Ballot Eligibility is Looming

By Cristina LailaMar. 3, 2024 3:00

The Supreme Court set an unusual opinion release for Monday morning and signaled that a ruling on Trump’s ballot eligibility is imminent.

Per Politico legal reporter Josh Gerstein: SCOTUS sets unusual, short-notice opinion release for Monday morning.Appears to signal that ruling on Trump ballot eligibility is looming.

The Supreme Court is set to issue a ruling on Trump’s ballot eligibility after he challenged a decision by the Colorado Supreme Court to bar him from the 2024 primary ballot.

In December the Colorado Supreme Court disqualified Trump from the 2024 ballot.

All 7 Colorado Supreme Court justices were appointed by Democrats – 3 of the justices dissented to the ruling.

The legal theories are based on Section 3 of the US Constitution’s 14th Amendment which states public officials who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the US may be disqualified from public office.

Trump has not been charged with engaging in insurrection or rebellion against the United States.

Oral arguments before the Supreme Court on Trump’s ballot eligibility wrapped in early February.

The Supreme Court expressed skepticism as they heard arguments from Colorado lawyer Jason Murray. Even the liberal justices expressed concern.

“Why should a single state have the ability to make this determination not only for their own citizens but for the rest of the nation?”Justice Kagan asked.

Justice Neil Gorsuch, a Trump appointee, smacked around Colorado attorney Murray as he tried to argue absurd hypotheticals.

Gorsuch wasn’t have it and utterly destroyed Murray, who happens to be one of his former clerks.

It was a bloodbath.
