I've noticed what I think is a pattern in my part of the mid-west. Large chain grocery stores with pharmacies have organic and "health" food sections. Local and smaller stores that don't have pharmacies don't seem to have organics at all. The ostensible reason (I asked in one store) is that the WIC (or other government program) program would not work with the stores if they offered more expensive organic food that might get chosen instead of the approved WIC food.
My take:
So, if you have the pharmacy (meaning upper management would love for you to take lots of drugs and vaccines) you get "permission" to buy the healthier organic food, which you will probably need after you get vaccinated. If you choose the local chains or mom and pop store that also accepts WIC (feeds mothers and children) then NO ORGANIC FOR YOU.
