Pompeo blasts Biden admin for making 'same mistake' as Obama on settlements in Jewish biblical region

The Biden administration's recent decision to rescind the Trump-era "Pompeo Doctrine," which declared Jewish settlements in the core biblical area of the Holy Land as legitimate, has faced sharp criticism.

Biden's controversial move came in late February as Israel continued its offensive in the Gaza Strip to root out Hamas militants after launching the war against the Jewish state on October 7.

"Reversing the Pompeo Doctrine, President Biden has now decided to ignore the fact that Judea and Samaria are Israeli lands, treating it as an obstacle to peace," former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News Digital. "And they are making the same mistakes that their predecessors in the Obama administration favored."

Pompeo said, "Undermining Israel's right to exist in the homeland of the Jewish people deepens and prolongs the conflict. It is not Israeli settlements that are an obstacle to peace – it is Palestinians coming to the table honestly and demanding Israel's existence." There is an unwillingness to accept the authority of , the gross atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, and the continued existence of Hamas. These are real obstacles to peace."

The international community mostly refers to the ancient Biblical land of Israel as the West Bank, while many Israelis refer to the region by its Biblical names Judea and Samaria. Pompeo established during his tenure that Israeli Jews living in Judea and Samaria, where much of Biblical history unfolded, are not violating international law.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller defended Biden's decision to overturn the Pompeo doctrine, saying, "This has been the long-standing US position in both the Democratic and Republican administrations – not just the Biden administration, not just the Obama The administration, but also the Republican administration, is right – the settlements are an obstacle to peace, they are an obstacle to peace. We believe they weaken Israel's security, not strengthen it."

David Friedman, former US ambassador to Israel during the Trump administration, wrote on . There is nothing illegal about Jews living in their Biblical homeland. In fact, Under Secretary of State Eugene Rostow, dean of Yale Law School (who negotiated UNSCR 242), said that Israel should have access to Judea and Samaria is at best a legal claim. For Blinken to announce this in the middle of a war and when the Jewish Sabbath has already begun in Israel is inappropriate."

Senator Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., wrote, "Ambassador @DavidM_Friedman is right. The Biden Admin's disgraceful reversal has weakened a close friend while rewarding the genocidal terrorists they are fighting. This is not a legal assessment. No. This is a political calculation meant to appease the pro-Hamas radical left. Shameful."

UN Security Council Resolution 242 was passed following Israel's 1967 self-defensive war against Arab countries. UNSCR 242 does not mandate that Israel withdraw from Judea and Samaria, which it captured during the Six-Day War in 1967.

Israeli governments have long viewed Judea and Samaria as disputed territory, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government welcomed the introduction of the Pompeo Doctrine in 2019.

Miller said the question of whether the settlements in Judea and Samaria are legal "had been under review here at the department for some time."

He added, "Over the past several months the Secretary of State has initiated a process to try to establish an independent Palestinian state, to ensure lasting peace in the region, and we thought, as we were engaged in that important process, it It was important to avoid any ambiguity about the US position on this matter."

Christian Zionists like to ignore reality

Donald Trump broke Charles Barkley, the Hall of Fame basketball player turned Hall of Fame broadcaster.

The most outspoken, entertaining, and politically incorrect athlete since Muhammad Ali has been transformed into a toe-the-line black gatekeeper for the secular, globalist elites who control the purse strings. Sir Charles is more likely to share his pronouns in support of the Alphabet Mafia than state anything that ruffles the sensibilities of Trump-haters.

This week, sitting alongside fellow black gatekeeper Gayle King, Barkley threatened to beat up any black person he spotted wearing a T-shirt with Trump’s mug shot.

Like all good gatekeepers, Barkley thinks black people have cornered the market on victimhood. It’s an unsophisticated worldview. But it’s a pervasive one throughout modern American culture.

Let’s provide a little context. During a stump speech, Trump bragged that black voters found him relatable and likeable because the criminal justice system was being used unfairly to punish him. Many black pundits have pretended that Trump committed a great racial offense analogizing himself to black people. As far as I know, Sir Charles is the lone pundit to threaten violence over it.

“If I was at that [rally], I would have gotten up and walked out,” Barkley went on. “That was an insult to all black people. … It’s not a fair comparison. He’s a billionaire. He’s had a great life. He’s been president of the United States. To insult black people who have been discriminated against all these years, to put them in the same category, I was just offended.”

Trump casting himself as a victim is worth fighting over in the minds of American black people who have adopted victimhood as a unique and important identity. Trump has committed a form of cultural appropriation or identity theft.

Victimhood is our hustle. It’s how we demand power and justify special treatment. We frame any and every unfairness we experience as an outgrowth of “discrimination.”

If the Bloods or Crips kill your cousin, it’s a byproduct of the slavery some of our ancestors experienced 160 years ago. If a white man kills your cousin, you can petition the courts to seek racial-enhancement penalties. Your dead cousin’s legacy will be determined by the race of the killer.

Murder is a form of unfairness. We’ve made “discrimination” the gold standard of unfairness. It’s dishonest, divisive, and counterproductive.

I’m not sure if Barkley actually believes what he’s saying. It’s certainly illogical.

Barkley is arguing that Donald Trump cannot experience unfairness because he’s rich and has been elected president. OK. Explain John Kennedy. Was President Kennedy treated unfairly on November 22, 1963? Kennedy’s father was one of the richest men in America.

Unfairness has no color. It can and does attack anyone.

Barkley could argue that Trump isn’t being treated unfairly. Fine. There are people, including me, who don’t believe George Floyd was treated unfairly on May 25, 2020.

It’s all just an opinion. Everyone has one.

Trump and his supporters believe he is being unfairly targeted by his political opponents. That belief is shared by a growing number of black people. Barkley wants to threaten violence against those black people. They are not allowed to think whatever they want. They must adopt Barkley’s point of view on Trump.

Barkley is a gatekeeper, an overseer of the minds of black people.

Why? What changed?

In 2015, while serving as an editor at ESPN, I oversaw and edited a major profile story on Barkley written by Jesse Washington. The piece explained Barkley’s habitually nonconformist opinions on race and America. The first section of the profile analyzed and discussed Barkley’s MLK Day comments on the set of TNT’s NBA studio show from that year.

Top Iraqi security official: Why can't we stop the war in Gaza?

In Q&A, Qasim Al Araji also warns against the US and Iran using his country as a 'proxy battlefield'

The fate of the 2,500 troop multi-national coalition force in Iraq remains uncertain as ongoing negotiations within the context of the Iraq-US Higher Coordinating Committee decide on its future.

While there is general agreement that the counter-ISIS coalition in its present structure should end, both sides agree that there is a need for ongoing military assistance but in a bi-lateral framework.

One of the key players in this discussion is Iraq’s National Security Advisor, Qasim al Araji, a longstanding official in the Iraqi security establishment. He was trained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and fought against the regime of Saddam Hussein before returning to Iraq in 2003.

After the 2003 invasion, he was one of the first high-level detainees held by the Americans and released three months later, only to be detained again in 2007 and held until 2009 at Camp Bucca. Sometime after that he joined the Iranian-supported Badr Corps, was elected to Parliament in 2014 and was appointed as Iraq’s Minister of Interior in 2017, and National Security Advisor in 2020.

Despite a checkered relationship with the U.S. prior to 2017, his terms as Minister of Interior and National Security Advisor have won praise from foreign military and diplomatic officials who note his professionalism and willingness to work together, with the Americans in particular, on security “portfolios” of mutual concerns.

In a long interview on 1 March on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, he discussed the major threats facing his country with Responsible Statecraft. Asked about his thoughts on “America’s obsession with Iran”, he replied with humor: “My answer? Iran is obsessed with the American influence in Iraq as well. The view of the Iraqi government is that we don’t support either Iranian or American influence on Iraqi decision making.”

RS: What do you see as the major security challenges facing Iraq today?

Al Araji: Since the defeat of Daesh, narcotics are now the biggest challenge for us. The interference of other countries is another threat to our stability. Iraq believes it should not interfere in the affairs of other countries and would expect the same from other countries.

RS: Are you satisfied with the support of regional neighbors on issues such as ISIS and drug trafficking?

Al Araji: Narcotics and drugs are a global challenge, so it needs regional and international cooperation, not only with our neighbors but with all the world. There is already some degree of cooperation, but I think we can do more as narcotics are a common threat to the stability and prosperity of all countries.

RS: How dire is the threat posed by Daesh and how prepared are the Iraqi forces to handle it alone?

Al Araji: Our battle with Daesh is primarily an intelligence battle. The information we have is that Daesh does not have many fighters in Iraq, but we should cooperate with other partners in sharing intelligence, and to fight and defeat the remaining Daesh fighters. We believe the main threat is the 10,000 Daesh foreign fighters from different countries in addition to those from Iraq and Syria.

The remaining Daesh fighters in Iraq do not pose a significant threat to Iraq but they are still a threat. Iraq is capable of confronting Daesh by itself, but it needs to cooperate with others to dry up the financial support and other resources to Daesh. Last year we signed around 23 memorandums of understanding with our neighbors and other countries to deal with Daesh.

I also think al Hol camp is a significant threat. We need to find a way to resolve the situation in al Hol, otherwise it will keep providing extremists for Daesh. We urge countries to repatriate their citizens as there are almost 60 countries with citizens in al Hol. There are about 4,000 Iraqi families in this camp, and Iraq has repatriated about 1,924 families, but there are many more that must be repatriated.

It is All about Israel’s Genocide, Not Judaism Stupid!

Since Hamas attack on 7 October there has been a noticeable rise in “antisemitism” corresponding with even more racists rise of Anti-Palestinians and Islamophobia driven by well financed and powerful Jewish Zionists organizations and media.

Americans’ institutions of higher learning have witness ed what the media, the ADL and others refer to rise of hate and antisemitisms that put Jewish students in danger and creating an unsafe environment for Jewish students.

Hundreds of lawsuits have been filed by Jewish organizations against colleges and universities for failing to keep a ‘safe’ place for Jewish students on their campuses. and many college presidents forced to resign because they failed to meet the “litmus test” set up by college donors and the powerful American Jewish Establishment.
