I saw the Life magazine in a thrift store that had the Chaplin on the cover with that quote. I thought that quote was mocking Jesus since Jesus preached love, turning the other cheek, and live by the sword die by the sword. The Military Industrial Complex is an ideology far from Jesus's teachings.
