Joe Scarborough Ridiculed After Gushing Endorsement Of Biden's Cognitive Health

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough was ridiculed after engaging in a bizarre, performative endorsement of the strength of Joe Biden’s cognitive health.

“That guy’s mental state, I’ve said it for years now, he’s cogent, but I undersold him when I said he was cogent, he’s far beyond cogent,” Scarborough said.

“In fact, I think he’s better than he’s ever been, intellectually, analytically, because he’s been around for 50 years,” he added.

The host then bizarrely stated, “Start your tape right now because I’m about to tell you the truth, and F you if you can’t handle the truth.”

“This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever, not a close second and I’ve known him for years, the Brzezinski’s have known him for 50 years, if it weren’t the truth, I wouldn’t say it.”

Scarborough’s remarks were utterly bizarre given that even his biggest supporters would admit Biden has rapidly slowed down cognitively in recent years.

As we highlighted last week, Biden’s recent physical exam did not include a cognitive test despite innumerable examples of Biden getting lost on stage, thinking he had talked to dead political leaders and falling prey to embarrassing verbal gaffes in recent months.

Respondents on X were shocked by the brazen intensity of the propaganda being spewed by the former Congressman.

“Americans are subjected to a level of shameless propaganda that would make a commissar blush,” commented Auron MacIntyre.

It’s a sentiment that was widely shared.

Bombing planned by Kiev-backed agent foiled – FSB

The would-be terrorist was allegedly planning an attack using an IED he made from Western-manufactured components

A Belarusian radical nationalist has been gunned down in Russia after opening fire on officers of the FSB, the federal security agency reported on Thursday. He was allegedly planning a terrorist attack on behalf of Ukrainian special services.

The FSB did not name the suspect but said he was on an international wanted list, was born in 1974 and was a member of the so-called Katus Kalinovsky Regiment, a unit of far-right fighters allied with Kiev, which seeks to topple the government in Minsk.

While on Russian soil, the suspected Ukrainian agentallegedly collected intelligence on transport infrastructure and officials of the northern region of Karelia, the statement said. The FSB acted after learning that the suspect had obtained a firearm and components for an improvised explosive device (IED), which he intended to use in a terrorist attack.

The man was shot while resisting arrest according to the statement and footage of the firefight, which the FSB has made public. The video suggests that he had been tracked by a drone to a hideout, where officers confronted him.

The would-be terrorist who was armed with a Makarov handgun, had assembled the bomb using a British-made explosive and a US-made detonator, the FSB reported.

The Ukrainian unit, of which the man was reportedly a member, was created by Kiev in February 2022 to incorporate a force of right-wing Belarusian radicals allied with Ukrainian fighters. The US state-funded news outlet RFE/RL last year reported its numbers as 300-strong.

Ukraine arrests priest for branding ‘Azov’ Nazis

Kiev has been pursuing a crackdown on the canonical Orthodox church

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has arrested a cleric in the Cherkasy Diocese for allegedly making pro-Russian social media posts and defaming members of “Azov” as Nazis, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) confirmed on Wednesday.

Ukrainian authorities did not name the suspect, but the SBU had posted on its Telegram channel on Tuesday that it searched the residence of Archpriest Boris Brodovsky, suspecting him of “anti-Ukrainian and pro-Russian statements.”

“We tried to contact him, but we can’t get through to him,” Archpriest Georgy Pogranichny of the Cherkasy Diocese told the media. “The SBU officers probably confiscated the phone from Father Boris. We’re already on our way there, we’ll figure out what’s happening.”

According to one Ukrainian outlet, Brodovsky posted “hostile slogans, photographs and videos from pro-Kremlin Internet resources”and the SBU found “prohibited symbols” at his residence.

Another Ukrainian newspaper, quoting the SBU, said thatBrodovsky had “accused Ukrainian defenders of preparing for military provocations in Odessa and called fighters of the Azov special forces unit Nazis.”

‘Azov’ is a neo-Nazi militia founded in 2014 by white supremacist Andrey Biletsky, who hand-picked symbols once used by the SS for the unit’s logo. It was eventually integrated into the Ukrainian armed forces, while retaining its Third Reich iconography. The battalion has been accused by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and the UN of multiple human rights abuses, including rape and torture of civilians.

Brodovsky was also charged with religious discrimination, for trying to “discredit priests of other faiths” in his sermons, and spreading “fake news” that the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Cherkasy had been “seized.” The parish was taken over by the government-backed Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) in August 2023.

If convicted, he faces up to eight years in prison.

President Vladimir Zelensky’s government launched a crusade against the UOC last year, denouncing the canonical church as an “agent of Moscow.”For months, Ukrainian regions have been seizing UOC property and handing it over to the OCUon a variety of pretexts. Moscow has protested the crackdown as a violation of human rights, to little avail.

The Ukrainian Parliament has prepared a bill to ban the UOC, but the issue appears to have been put on ice after critics warned that such a move would endanger Kiev’s ambition to join the EU.
